Thank you, Tim! I am finding the same thing. Maybe not as the star of the show, but when patchouli is a base, it really adds to the scent. This is just a subtle earthiness that seems to balance out the sweetness just right.

Good evening, guys!
I decided to do another concurrent head and face shave. The lineup is the same for both shaves, except I used a safety for the head.

Dovo Shavette Shave #123
Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (1)
G E Jones Shake Sharp Razor
2 Rockwell DE Blades (4)
Barbury Synthetic Brush
Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS
Nivea ASB
Face Shave:
Got the brush really wet so that I can get a goopy lather because I am using a new blade in my shavette. Achieved a beautiful lather to start the shave. Two passes plus minor neck touchup gave me a shave just shy of BBS. I just don't need to push it on a new blade. Did manage to get a tiny weep, but the styptic managed to make it disappear without a trace. It also was irritation free. Applied the matching aftershave and Nivea to top off the face shave.

Headshave:
As I mentioned earlier, I used the same setup, but used the GE Jones Shake Sharp Razor instead of the Dovo Shavette. It is the 4th time that I have used this razor and I really like it. I haven't gotten a nick or a weep yet! 3 passes and plenty of touchups gave me a BBS on my dome. Finished the shave just like I did with the face shave. Have a great evening, guys!

Thanks, Jim! I rarely do a full above the shoulder shave, but when it comes out great, it is special. I just realized that I coined a new term-above the shoulder shave to denote shaving the face and head at the same time. Lol!

 

I've been looking at the Charcoal Goods website for the last few months. They never had what I wanted on the ready to ship page. Not a bad thing, kept me from adding to the ever growing collection. Well yesterday they had exactly what I wanted in stock ready to ship. I wasn't going to say anything. I didn't want @wristwatchb to know I failed my first No Buy Friday.
