Kind of a sad shave today. Yesterday morning I decided it just didn't make sense to tiptoe around a scent profile that I really enjoy, but that also irritates me somewhat if conditions aren't absolutely perfect. So, it is with a heavy heart that I submit my sendoff shave with Stirling's Baker Street: Gadfrey, I enjoy that scent, but the subtle, almost subconscious burn underneath it all was keeping me from using what was supposed to be my go to scent. Farewell Baker Street :(

The shave actually went incredibly well. New blade in the MMOC, chased the baby with a 3 pass shave (I make exceptions to the 2-pass rule on Sundays), and got a BBS shave that with any other soap would probably have been irritation free. As it stands it stands, the burn is almost subliminal--a fine farewell to Baker Street.

I've already got another soap lined up to replace Baker Street, and I am very excited to give it a spin. More on that in future shaves ;)

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone :D

I hate to say this, but I have never driven or walked on the Brooklyn Bridge and I have never been to the Statue of Liberty. However, I have walked the entire length of the Golden Gate Bridge. I am a Brooklyn guy and it's so out of place! Lol!

Sounds like a great shave, Tim! Sorry to hear that the soap and splash didn't work out for you.

Thats another beauty Keith! Ive found the BoS 2019 to be one of the best soaps I've used yet and ot lathers exactly as you described. I dont remember getting irritated after but we all have different skin.

That looks like something I'd buled for MAYhem Terry. Great report

In slightly related news, I'm looking to PIF my Baker Street soap and AS. Was going to post it on the PIF page, but wanted any of the good folks on the 30DC thread to have first crack at it. Sadly, I can only afford to ship within the continental US.

Off to church now, but will check in later.

Great setup Tom! What does the scent of the Lustray compare to?

Got about a foot down so far and no sign of letting up . This is nothing compared to last year when it snowed in October and stayed until April. Before this arrived we had about 6" accumulation total. I know what I'll be doing later .

Am I right in assuming that if I can shave with a straight razor without cutting myself I wouldn't need the proguard blades? I would think the guard would be annoying.

I'm way past the if and more of a which and when on buying a shavette. Dovo still looks interesting but the Feather looks like it might simulate a straight razor a little more closely. The cost of the blades isn't a significant factor.

I have an IBC Shavette. It will take AC, injector and half DE blades. Just thought I'd mention it as an option.
