Very nice, Joseph! Good discipline with dumping the bowl and starting over. I quite enjoy the Stirling Glacial balm. I've been using it everyday for the past couple of months.

    Beautiful picture, Jim!

Wonderful shave and picture, Clint! Have a great day with your mom and I know you enjoyed having Maya home. Alice and I, along with a friend couple, will be visiting Lexington in April. We're doing a tour of several bourbon sites and will spend the night in Louisville and Lexington. Never been there and am looking forward to it.

    Wonderful shave, Jim!

    Very nice, Jeff!

Good shave, Tim. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and forge ahead!

    Nice shave, Tom!

Wonderful gesture, Tim! I hope someone nabs that up.

    Wonderful photo and shave, Gary!

    Razor: Valet Autostrop
    Blade: Feather FHS-10
    Brush: DSCosmetic Galaxy 26mm Silvertip
    PS: Proraso Red
SS & AS: Stirling Ramblin' Man

This Autostrop is a different beast for sure. Mowed down the whiskers on the first pass in a deceptively easy way. Then in my XTG pass it started getting mean. Uncomfortably close on my jaw and chin. ATG wasn't any better. I think I will call this DAP (Developing Alum Phobia) close. No cuts but my face is on fire. I'm sure it was an angle and pressure issue. If I was interested in using this more I would do a 30 focus. Perhaps that's coming in may.

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline
    Razor: RazoRock Hawk
Brush: Poculi wood with Maggard's synthetic
    Soap: Soap Commander Drive
Post: Witch hazel, Fine L'Orange Noir aftershave

Wonderful shave today. Hadn't shaved since early Friday morning so there was plenty to mow down. Only did one pass with no touch-ups since I'll shave early tomorrow morning. One pass for a nice CCS. The L'Orange Noir scent is one I don't use enough. Really nice.

    Enjoy your day!

Really fine photo, Evan! Love the blues. I had an Autostrop for a short period but couldn't get it to work right. Don't think I even used it because it was too precarious. Yours is in great shape.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - PS - Tube 2.0, ASB - Star Jelly
    Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - SS/ASC - Cavendish
    Zenith 27.5mm Synthetic
    Feather High Stainless (1)
    Rex Ambassador (6)

Always late to the party......finally got a Rex Ambassador. It's the DE razor I've been adding to a cart (then abandoning), watching BFCM/sale pricing, as well as BST threads for nearly 10 months. Yeah, too long....too much effort. Search & patience totally paid off though, epic price found, snagged, delivered yesterday. This RA appears to be flawless condition after cleaning. N1 (1st quarter 2018) date code.

Inaugural shave....cranked to 6, 2 passes, almost BBS. Couple neck/jawline touch ups after a little hand lathering, BBS achieved (wifey confirmed :love055:). No visit from Nick or Weeper. Love this razor, intuitive pressure/angle, lots of blade feel, goldilocks weight, easy to hold dry/wet, and super efficient. Such a close shaver with the Feather blade, it teeters on the edge of irritation, but not. Face feel after a swipe is nearly squeaky clean, and that's using PAA's CK-6 formula, something which rarely happens with any of my razors (DE/SE or straight). Reminds me of shaving with the Blackland Dart and same blade. Zenith synthetic was a face lathering machine today, using one of my favorite PAA fragrances, Cavendish (tobacco/cherry/vanilla). Slight 'alive' feeling from the PAA Star Jelly, just a little more testament to how close this blade/razor combo shaved. Matching AS/C and smelling fine. This fragrance lasts well into late afternoon for me, even with a very early morning application.

Couple items on the honey-do list today.....back later!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!

Thank you, Joseph! I find this scent to be much more pleasing than the bottle of current Brut I have. I can't strictly compare it to vintage, but my guess is this is closer to that.
