aren't those out of print? or did somebody else start putting out the old school transformers seasons? last time I checked all of the Rhino editions were long out of print and fanboys were selling them for stupid amounts of money.

the old transformers toys were better too. I looked over some of the new ones at a garage sale recently. all plastic. not one bit of metal whatsoever. my old Optimus Prime was mostly metal, from what I remember.

Yeah, practically all toys made today out of metal (which are few) are bookoodle expensive. My son has Thomas the Tank Engine little trains that are metal and aren't too bad expensive, though, considering. But still, plastic Transformers... that's like Nerf made from carpet. ::kar

as far as the video, I don't know, about out of print, these looked pretty new...I should mention on DVD, not VHS...:D
as for the toys, yeah, all plastic, except for a screw here and there, anymore.
as far as the original Optimus Prime,
    *reaches up to display shelf*
let's see, all plastic except the die-cast cab front. huh. that one piece on the front kinda biases the rest of the toy, huh?
there were some that were all metal, though, like Sideswipe. I saw it at KB Toys at the mall last year, maybe two ago, it was the original version, all metal, in a different package. I shoulda bought one, but....
    it was like $45!
    nuh-uh, too much for me

    okay, update time:

got around to hooking up converter box for living room TV (bedroom has digital tuner built-in), scanned channels and Lo and Behold, I can now get the 3 PBS channels!
guess I'll be watching This Old House in the living room from now on, or until I get a cable run from the outdoor antenna to the bedroom, which isn't likely to happen now
    oh well

If that isn't a nerdy reference, I don't know what is. And the fact that I quickly recognized it just shows how we are cut from the same cloth. Scary, huh. :happy088

I laughed aloud at this, by the way.

Phantom of the Opera, huh? That was my favorite show we marched in high school, sophomore year, went to state contest with it, made me appreciate most of ALW's work

    POTO?
My wife turned me onto it when in college. I took her to see it in Chicago one year. I even managed to score box seats. I couldn't believe that I managed that. It wasn't until months later as the performance grew nearer that I realized how I got great seats. The performance was on Superbowl Sunday Packers Vs. Broncos... *sigh*. It was an awesome performance all the same. I would have just been yelling at the tv anyway.

Who cares. I learned many years ago to forget labels and quit worrying about what other people think of you. Enjoy life, whatever that means to you. Ok, enough unnecessary pep talk. What am I talking about anyway?
    :signs047

Ok, don't do it. Did that help? :D

    Amen...

OK.. I won't do it.. maybe... Its funny... back in August, I thought the closest I would go was a 4 guard (which I had been having barbers use for years). Then I started doing my own hair. Then I went to shorter and shorter guards.. Any shorter and there will be no guard... so why not just go for the shave... hmmmmmm Wife wouldn't throw me out on Father's Day would she?

weird...I'm the one who always says "ain't gonna join no stinkin' online forums/social networks", now here I am intermingling two of them :rofl

Yeah... that was weird when you brought that up on here. I am still getting used the FB thing as well. It is just as bad as here... nothing for a day and then 20 updates in 10 minutes and things are off the screen. At least it keeps convos together... until they cross to this realm. :happy102

My wife is on FB all the time. It drives me crazy, not because FB is any worse than me social-networking on B&B/TSD, but because she is on the net when I want to be!

I wonder if I can run a network cable out to the Cedar Lodge...
