    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Orange Chill
Brush - Stirling Two Band Synthetic
    Post - Alum

It's Menthol Monday! How about some Stirling Orange Chill to cool things off, eh? The snow has started to melt away so we'll just add some menthol to the mix to keep things cool. I used the Stirling synthetic brush to make that fine lather and gave the Fatip and Voskhod its third day. I'm a bit disappointed to say this was not the smoothest of shaves. The blade seems to be a bit dull, which is very strange for a Voskhod on 3. I believe the last blade out of this tuck was a dud, so I suspect the whole tuck may be compromised. No worries. I have over a thousand in reserve. It happens very occasionally with this and any blade.

Three passes did bring the baby in the house and that creeping cold of the Orange Chill soap was marvelous. The scent reminds me more of orange peels than orange juice and it's a fine scent. No worries at all!

Hope your Monday was a success and at least it's done for the week. Happy Tuesday tomorrow!

Thank you Gary! Hope you had a great Monday also!

Thanks Jim! I’m on second John Frum soap bar. Interesting, as the first was off white with blue and brown blobs. The second is mostly blue with white/brown blobs. He’s having some fun with colors!

    Sincerely appreciated Clint!

:thanks: for the super kind words Evan!

    Thanks Andrew!

    Appreciated Patrick!

    Thank you Jeff!

With all the enabling here between all the soap makers, y’all have helped me find some real winners. JF is definitely one in that category. I’ve started to think about it as....this is my favorite lavender, this is my favorite fougère, etc. Not just...this is my favorite AS. Or Soap. 2020 may have a little narrowing of the ones (hardware or software) which are lesser favorites.

    Thanks Keith!

Of those I have or had, I’d put B&M Reserve Spice on top for scent. Followed by Soap Commander Endurance and Stirling Spice.

Congrats, Evan, on the Feather DX! I think you'll be very pleased with it.

Diver's watches are my absolute favorite! I've been noodling on the Seiko SRP777 for awhile. It's loaded with features, should last a lifetime, and is reasonably priced. Seiko offers variations of the 777 on bracelet and in other dial colors. Please be aware that it is a mechanical watch which is a bit different than having a quartz watch. I have some other ideas as well, depending on your budget. The bottom line is that folks looking for reasonably priced quartz and mechanical divers have tons of great options. PM me anytime, and I'll be glad to help as best I can. I'm no expert, but I love watches, and I've researched them for longer than I want to admit without having my lawyer present. :)

The search for a watch can be a lot of fun. I have a bunch of resources if you're interested and want to invest some time. Let me know.

After 35 glorious shaves, i finally retired the super max blue diamond. I love this blade so much that i replaced it with a fresh one, fast becoming my favourite blade of all time.

Even on shave number 35 it performed flawlessly, on six days of growth too, very very impressive.

After shaving for most of November and December with arko, i finally decided to switch things up and use a cream i havent used for a while, Godrej lime. I was surprised that its consistency had changed to that of a liquid, but a quick shake of the tube and it was back to the thick cream im used to.

    Shave 1:
    Razor: fatip piccolo v1
    Brush:Omega 49
Blade: super max blue diamond (1)
    Soap: Arko shave stick
    Aftershave: status for men

    Shave 2:
    Razor: fatip piccolo v1
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
    Blade: supermax blue diamond (2)
    Cream: Godrej lime
    Aftershave: brut by Fabergé[IMG][IMG]

Tuesday morning and what a Tuesday it is.
Once again I loaded my Dime Razor with a new desplines Personna GEM blade, chose some Razorock soap and splash, went to work. Now that I'm comfortable with this razor, the shave went like any other normal shave. 2 passes and a little clean up on the chin. 2 passes and clean up on the head. Get this.... still no issues, none, that's fantastic! I like this little guy lots and lots. It ran like we were old friends, that's nice!

The best shave from this blade holder yet, not bad at all.
I'm clean, smooth, ready for the day.

    Enjoy!
