does anyone know if "blue Magic Polish" is safe to use on a safety razor? without messing up the plating. Sometimes I like to tinker and clean up my safety my razors

 

I need to get through some more soap before I think about buying more. I look forward to trying something new again.

The hands are doing well. It took just about 2 months to get just about all the way back. I haven't thought about them in a while so I think the numbness is gone.

Sorry guys, no time to catch up on all the posts. Here is my Wednesday update:

Another hot scuttle test, the Fine soap so far is the best performer so I decided to give another go. This is the first time I used a boar brush in hot scuttle, I have all used big badger that splay before. The boar worked fine but I think the ability to splay a brush in the scuttle keeps the lather just a touch hotter.

With a hot scuttle the lather never looks right in the bowl, but once it hits my face it usually comes out fine. It is important to keep adding water as the heat dries out the lather quickly while sitting in the scuttle. Fine delivered again, retaining it's slickness just like with warm or cold water. I finished with an enjoyable hot lather shave on a cold morning.

Today's razor is a smiling Ali's blade, I do enjoy a smiling razor.

 

I need to follow in your footsteps; I'll still chase after BBS on Sundays. I like it, but I usually shave every day now, and I just don't need to get there. Gotta just conquer my facial OCD. BTW, any guesses what I'll be shaving with tomorrow?

Lots of great info here... I will likely buy in the next few months. Problem is I'm addicted to my smart watch due to work comms. I can screen incoming messages without having to take my phone out of my pocket.

I'll just be one of those guys that wears a watch on each wrist.
