It won't damage the finish chemically but polishing could go right through the nickel to the underlying brass. The aluminum razors can't be replated because of the mixed metals.

Nickel has a natural grayish tone and won't ever shine like a chrome razor will.

Sounds like a great shave, Keith. Interesting, I wouldn’t have thought the brush type would matter as much with hot water.

Thank you, Jason. What happens when you get 40 or so electrical engineers together to discuss the proper way to do something? That should give you an idea of how productive it has been. This was my first time attending this meeting, and one of the senior members told me I have gravitas today because I was speaking up some. I am not sure he meant it as a compliment.

 

I'm not skilled in electrical engineering, but I bet 40 or so different ideas came up in that meeting.

 

I'm trying to find a jar or bowl for my Burma Shave Soap, so as to avoid the "cling-clang" sound in the mug when I swirl the soap around.

 

There were 40 or so opinions from one person I think.

 

Ohhh OK.

 

Their soaps are heavily scented which worked well if you like the scent. I'll miss the Drunken Goat, Pantie Dropper, and Cologne De Agrumi, but I've found scents by other Artisans which fill the void just fine.

 

Thanks for that Gary....best to have the focus on depth, not width, or just wide enough for the cake. I don't want anything large, as my bathroom is kinda small.

 

Unfortunately, if you want to avoid banging your brush on the sides of your bowl, you may have to look at shallow and wide. If you are just worried about the noise and looks don't matter, then one of those little disposable leftover containers would work well.
