Thank you, Tim! Christmas Eve scent is in my top tier. It is a scent that I will use all year round. As far as this morning's shave, it was neccesity is the mother of invention. I was planning on using the shavette later today, but my school district waylaid my plans. I had the VDH safety out on the counter, but I also believe in no guts, no glory! Lol!. Without sounding conceited, I have 125 shavette shaves and 144 straight razor shaves totalling 269 open bladed shaves. Therefore, it helps to have that many shaves to fall back on to be able to do a very quick shavette shave. I wouldn't recommend doing a prep, then 2 pass shave totalling 10 minutes if you only done 50 shaves because that would spell disaster. For the record, I will not be doing a lightening shave in the near future. I will just pick up a safety if I am really pressed for time.

Razor - Gillette Red Tip Super Speed
    Blade - ladas-super-stainless.jpg (3)
Soap - Blood on Steel (Jeeves) (2017 Meet Up LE)
Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Well, it's a Tuesday evening so we're making progress. Almost halfway through January. Shocking, I know. Time to switch up the razor again and I dug out the superb Gillette Red Tip Super Speed that I acquired from @Primotenore . Absolutely mint condition and this little razor does its job flawlessly. The heaviest and most aggressive of the SS razors, it's a beauty in how it performs as well. I paired it with a Ladas blade, the super stainless from Mostochlegmash in Moscow. Pulled out the Blood on Steel, version 1, and used the big Stirling synthetic to produce the luxurious lather. Three passes and I'm a happy camper, well shaved and very satisfied with this one. Super Speeds don't get enough love, and the Red Tip seems to get even less. We'll let it shine for a few days.

Hope your week is going well. Have a great Wednesday!

Thanks, Patrick! What gets me is that the teacher gave them notice yesterday and they could have called me last night and not at the last minute. Fortunately, I lay out my clothes and my shaving gear the night before so that I can make it even if I am called last minute.
