Missed yesterday's and todays shave . Snow clearing and house duties prevaled . Did a few repairs around house also with changing outdoor light so as I can now see coming up walkway. Still snowing here, just flurries but it all adds up. Couldn't find a good aluminum snow pusher / scraper in this town so I grabbed this plastic model on sale for 12 bucks . Wow. Added my own touch with the poly cutting edge and now I have a decent scraper for cleanups . I see they are now selling shovels made of poly. Thought the cold would crack them but who knows?

I get enough snow on Long Island, but it doesn't compare to the Canadian snowfall.

Realized my snowblower is still stowed behind the tiller, mower, pressure washer, and generator. Really hoping I can just be efficient and not have to shuffle through all the summer tools to clear my driveway. Wait, I have a 12 year old son and a shovel in the garage. Well my son isn't in the garage just yet, but....

I’ll send you a chunk if you’d like. I have a back up puck that I’ve carved a sample or two off of.

Yup, lots of parts of this country have harsh winters, no question. Other parts rarely get any snow because it is too busy raining in the winter, and other parts are near desert. No regions are ever consistently warm in the winter, though. A big, diverse country. As is yours.

I grew up an hour north of you, Gary. I remember one day in high school they cancelled the school day because it was ‘extreme’ weather. 10 degrees below freezing and they weren’t sure students would be appropriately dressed for it. :happy102:
There are reasons the rest of the province makes fun of the coast at times...

Great stuff, Neal. Interesting that you don’t think the Red Tip gets enough love. I think it gets praised quite a bit, on this thread anyway.

Thats what my father did years ago. He would pass me 2 bucks and I knew it meant shovel the driveway.

I'm probably telling on myself with that. I do see them around. Certainly more than the blue tips. Reds are easier to find overall it seems too.
