THURSDAY'S SHAVE Perfumed by: Jacques Polge Razor - Edwin Jagger "Kelvin" Blade - Astra Superior Platinum *4th Shave Shave Brush - Beauty7 Professional Premium Synthetic Nylon Pre-shave Soap - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Cube Suds - Henri et Victoria "Cognac and Cuban Cigars" Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave Aftershave - Chanel ÉGOÏSTE Splash Lotion Deodorant - Chanel ÉGOÏSTE Fragrance - Chanel ÉGOÏSTE EDT I actually tried the PAA Cube as a preshave this time around and prefer it over the oil for this particular shaving soap. The thing is, there is nothing wrong with the Henri et Victoria soap. It's a good soap. The PAA soap transformed it into a great lather though. And the 2 pass + clean up shave is BBS and the post-shave feel is very nice.
Tonights Shave Razor: TAR by tom Blade: Super Iridium Brush: Rubberset #3 Soap: Haslinger AS: British Sterling Had a nice 3 pass shave tonight. Bordering on BBS. I did get 2 weepers on the third pass. I need to get acclimated to the heft of this stout razor. Very happy with initial results. I may dial it down a bit to get a more mild setting fully closed. I will wait for some feedback from a couple of members that will test it for me. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
January 2020 January 15 Razor - Gillette Red Tip Super Speed Blade - (2) Soap - Soap Commander Courage Brush - Semogue 1305 Post - Alum Bit of a long day but it's all good. Mid 50's earlier, now it's in the mid-30's where it will stay for awhile. Once again, welcome to St. Louis. Shave of the night features the Red Tip and Ladas again with a return to using up the Soap Commander. Semogue 1305 boar brush to get that lather whipped up and lighten that tub a bit. Great three pass shave for a BBS finish and all's well! Hope you have a great Thursday!

Wednesday January 15th SOTN I kinda was feeling a shave stick tonight... I haven't used La Toja in a while so figured why not?? Boy was I glad I did - plentiful bounty of uber slick lather tonight and the Enoch / guard blade cut through the beard like a hot knife through butter. I may repeat this tomorrow. Happy shaves all.
