  1. Lovely photo Evan! And great results for a rushed shavette shave!
  2. You did more than fine, Evan!
  3. Awesome photo... love the disco brush. Glad you got to the end of the R-41, and good luck on the others :D
Great shave, Joseph! Perhaps you were feeling literary when you chose the Hemingway. One way or the other, it looks fantastic.
Great pics, Danny! The Shaverboy looks awesome (really like the looks of black gear). Glad the handle is working out so well :D
Sting! That's an awesome letter opener, given by some awesome girls with an awesome sense of humor. Glad that Vector is treating you well--it really does look like it would be maneuverable in those tight spots.
    Fantastic looking shave, Tom :)
    Great shave, Paul :)
Glad the shave worked out so well, Perry. Hope you enjoy your break from the routine to the fullest :)
  4. does anyone here have an opinion on clubman bay rum aftershave ?
  5. Fantastic shave, Jason (though I'm sorry Mr. Bond continues to live). I wouldn't worry about getting your Canadian card revoked--the voice in your head said 'turn around', and you listened. I've never been sorry for listening to the voice :)
Great shave, Jim. That Prismatic is stunning. Somehow missed that you were ranking the PAA scents--will definitely check the spreadsheet out if I can ever catch up with all these shave reports :happy102:

    Good afternoon, guys
    Straight Razor Shave #145
F Herder (Ace of Spades) 7/8 Sq Pt
    Stirling Boar Brush.
Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh SS & AS
    Nivea ASB
Stirling brush produced a nice lather to set up the shave. Did 2.5 passes for an IBSS with no drama whatsoever. The razor's sharpness has lessened and I probably will have to refresh it with Crox the next time I use it.
Finished with the matching AS and Nivea. Have a nice evening, fellas! 20200116_145329.jpg 20200116_145329.jpg
  7. awesome shave Joe..have a fine evening..
  8. Very Nice Shave!
  9. I actually do buff my passes. I've never been able to get a decent shave with the long single strokes that I see everyone doing in all the shave videos on YouTube. Even with the buffing, I still have to go ATG to get there. You've got me thinking though: I'm starting pretty smooth these days--perhaps starting XTG then ending with ATG will get me there in 2 passes. Thanks for the food for thought, Joe! :D
  10. Great looking shave Joe!

  13. I find the Stirling to be a thirsry soap but when it's dialed in it is one of the very best.

Thanks Gary. Pretty much sums it up here last few days . I actually have a shovel same as in the pic . Broke the handle already on that one .

    Please do Andrew.

  14. Great setup Joe! I have about 9 straight shaves under my belt now but I get better with each one .
  15. Thanks Andrew.

Looks great and thank you as well Gary!

    Thanks Gary!

    Thanks Jim!
    Thanks Andrew!
    Thanks Joe!

I do appreciate all the comments. :) I missed a lot yesterday.
  17. my 2 + passes are usually a combination of wtg and across the grain (both directions) using short buffing strokes according to the growth direction, pick up pass at the end is where i do against the grain.they tend to be longer passes than if i do a basic 3 pass..i do a 3 pass with my mildest tech razors in the same order.the irritation i got in the beginning disappeared as the skin got used to it..i used to shave 2-3 times a week for ages ,now daily ..
  18. I haven't used it, thus this would be an "indirect" opinion-I've heard the clove strength is just that...strong. Makes me wonder if it knocks out the Clubman scent.
  19. Thanks....repeating same for tomorrow.
  20. depends how much you put on Paul..;)..stealth mode for the piggly..
