I do as well, Tim. I can go WTG, Across the Grain and Across the Grain the other way and get pretty close. If I go truly Against the Grain on my neck I can get perfectly smooth, but do increase the risk of a little irritation. Everywhere else on my face is never irritated.
I literally can't even... my gabber is flasted.
(Nods head silently in agreement) I'm tryin', I'm tryin'...
I often find this happens as well, Blair. In the end, it is a good TTT example.

That's a fantastic looking shave, Jeff. My wife does not care for anise/licorice scents, so I didn't even bother getting a sample--but I wanted to. That Lupo looks like a great razor. Much respect on paring things down; I know how difficult that is for people who just love razors. :D

Another incredibly fine shave, report, and pic, Gary. I'm going to miss these snowy photos when everything finally melts and gets back to normal for you. Till then, though, enjoy your time off ;)

Thanks, Gary. Either I've gotten better, or this Gillette is just more intuitive for me. Whatever the case may be, for me, it's crazy-easy to pull a good shave with. :D

if you try a soft focus with it for a week or so it will just become second nature.i am quite sure you have gotten better the more you use them..but like most of here then we get bored with it and pick up another one..:D most of my gillette shaves a quite similar.there is a couple one has to respect more ,like old types and new improved..

Great report, Evan. That Feather looks nice. I've done some crazy rush-jobs with a de, but I don't know if I'll ever get to the point where I'm willing to rush a straight or shavette shave--I'd walk away supremely pleased with a slight chin nick ;)

Thanks, Andrew! It's been two great ones in a row for me with this razor. Very happy with it :)

    Tim:
My wife doesn’t really care, it’s me. It’s not going to be easy, but I only shave with a select number, so time to start whittling down the numbers.

I'm getting pretty darned close to daily now--maybe 5-6 times a week. My biggest hang-up is, now, is time. I'll skip breakfast some mornings rather than miss a shave :happy102:

Just like I’ve accumulated entirely too many razors! Time to divest!

Great shave and report as always, Joe! You are really building up that straight razor muscle memory!
