Sorry the Deb didn’t work out for you, my friend, but you do have a rep for dense, tough whiskers. Looks like you’re condemned to Gem and Feather blades. An MMOC will never let you down!
It’s good stuff. My wife said today I really like the smell of that so I guess it will go into heavy rotation. I am remiss in not thanking you for the heads up on the Suneko Blades. I’m very happy with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They’re great blades! Unfortunately, shave.net told me that their supplier hiked up the price, so they won’t be carrying them anymore. I really hope someone else does in the next year or so. I have 150 laid up, so I’m good for awhile. Suneko, Feather and Wizamet Iridium are my regular gotos.
And now....it's time once again 4.............your FRIDAY FILES-brought to you by....well, me . -This year, I'm going very easy on soap purchases. On my birthday, which kicks off MAYhem in here, I'll see if I still feel this way. But that's solid months of nada on soaps before my "evaluation". I'd like to be able to knock off one or two by then. -It's been interesting to crunch numbers(or in this case, prices) for my two newest companies for whom I signed my life away(registering and signing on to their newsletters). Oh you want to know which ones? Sir Hare and Rocky Mtn, Barber Co. But I make comparisons among them, Central Texas Soaps and Stoylin Soaps. - People have said here that Stoylin Gentleman A.S. is very long-lasting. I will try an experiment(@Trigger, may I have the Chem Lab keys again, or how about just making a dupe for me? to compare the length of Gentleman to that of other Stoylin aftershaves. See ya next Friday .
Great shave report, Clint! Sounds like that Hiram is serving you well. Do you ever use Schick AC Prolines? I’ve found them comparable to the Feather Supers with less tendency to bite.
Lol I flipped it. Guess I’ll flip it back. My last lab actually did get into a puck of Wool Fat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My favorite as well, Joseph! Great stuff! You should chew a stick while shaving with Stirling Glacial Obsidian for the all-embracing Anise experience.
January Focus Hemingway Accoutrements~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~1947 Gillette Super-Speed~~Polsilver Hoping to finish up teaching this afternoon and head home, before the predicted ice-storm cometh. The HA has served me well and the scent lasts a long time. The crème creates a terrific lather and combining that with the synthetic brush, you can really scrub away; something I won't do with the majority of my brushes. The SS is a champ. The Polsilver held its edge. All-in-all a very satisfying travel shave.
Interesting you mention Chickets. I just bought a multi-pack of Trident Sugarless, and they are similar to Chicklets in appearance. I've encountered tooth sensitivity with them. I'd better get back to the softer ones.
Great shave report, Joseph! Sterling kit, as usual. Sounds like you’re feeling better! Glad to hear it, and that you enjoyed your shave.
Thank you, Jeff. The voice is still a bit gravely from the residual drainage, but the "sick" feeling has gone the way of the Dodo.
What happened to you, Joseph?(It seems I'm always late to the party when people have news, good or bad).
