Wow..it's an honor to be doing a post on page 300.:). I did well with the "Distinguished Goo" of Gillette Foamy. A couple small areas asked for a second go with the razor. One area I could have done a lot better was the right side of the "Y" that is the shaving pattern for my neck. The finisher was Stoylin Gentleman, and what a pleasurable manly scent that is. Very little comes out at a time, and I can appreciate that, as you don't want to have it spilling out(as with Stoylin Spice). Fine aftershave. I'll call this shave "Bordering On Excellent". I can do better with the same setup tomorrow.

    January 20 SOTD:

    Razor: PAA Prismatic
    Blade: Voskhod
    Brush: PAA The Solar Flare
    Lather: PAA Big Shave East
    Aftershave: PAA Big Shave East

It is funny at how things change over time. I started wet shaving a little over 5 years ago, and I never would have thought that I would have enough razors to shave with a different one each day and not repeat for well over a month. I can easily do this now. I certainly never would have thought I would have enough soaps to use a different one each for over a month and not repeat, but I can do this with just one maker now (I may have a problem :signs002:). I also never would have considered floral scents to be manly. Well, I quickly learned how lavender and rose and other florals can work very well for men. Today's scent is one of those. Big Shave East is pretty simple to describe, but almost wonderfully complex to wear. It is plumeria, apricot, and tobacco. That is pretty much it, but these three scents dance so well together. This is definitely in the floral side of the scent spectrum, and do I find it manly. My wife likes it as well, so that is an added bonus. I hope everyone has a great day!

I wasn’t very successful keeping up on here this weekend. Did get a chance to read the weekend posts last night, but didn’t have time to respond in kind.
Pulled out this cream and splash for Menthol Monday. Most folks seem to have a mass produced, inexpensive software product that really works for them. Some have Arko, or Williams, or VDH, or a drug store splash. For me, it is the Palmolive shave stick and it’s cousin, this mentholated cream. Punches way above its weight.
Whipped up a lather that looked a little airy, but was as slick as always. Had an easy 3 passer with this effortless little Injector. Finished with the Polar Ice, which I have long since made more ‘Polar’ with M bomb. Another decent el cheapo product.
    Have a great day all!

Thanks, Joe, but I do believe that some razors just aren’t made for me. I suspect the Rex and I are not destined to remain together, and that’s fine. I have many razors that I enjoy shaving with.

Great shave, Jason! I really like Palmolive as well! Have you tried Kapo! Most folks who use Palmolive like it, and you can’t beat the price.

That Frankenrazor looks amazing, Danny! I really like the D-OC plate on a Karve. I’ll be interested to see how it shaves on the Rockwell.
