My daughter bought me a combination credit card holder and money clip. For me one of the best all time accessories. Either a Boker Barlow or Case "whittler" resides in the left hand front pocket. I always have a vintage fountain pen and one modern one on hand. I carry a Manhattan Portage bike messenger bag that is my man purse.
Wallet license and permits Money and CC P38 folding pocket knife keys Full stainless steel Zebra pen Extra meds OC/ pepper spray "Other" personal protection. Cell phone A good attitude tp
I love the stainless steel Zebra pens. I can't seem to keep one because apparently everyone else loves my pens too. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Living in the boonies where a Bear or Moose is a real possibility I am rarely without a weapon on my hip. (I am actually looking outside the kitchen window as I type this looking at Moose tracks and a spot less than 30 feet from the front door where it bedded down night before last) When I head to town I bring a wallet too I have a Messenger bag that has everything else but it mostly stays in the vehicle with an Emergency kit
So the first thing that comes to mind is a firearm, but you already have P38 on the list and I associate with people from many cultures and backgrounds... so the list expands to: Feminine hygiene products (not so much with you) Condom Depends or other similar product Insect repellent Sunscreen Aluminum hat Light saber Phaser (for the OTHER fans) Face mask Hand sanitizer Tic tacs Water purification equipment AA pin Clipon tie Just off the top of my head. Edit: I hope no one is offended by this list I just tried to humorously think of what some of my friends would consider personal protection... Depending on who said it the list would be very different.
So the first thing that comes to mind is a firearm, but you already have P38 on the list...... The P-38, developed in 1942, is a small can opener that was issued in the canned field rations of the United States Armed Forces from World War II till......... Other???? Yes! Other. I highly recomend the "other" for self defense. Never leave home without it! tp
I've used them several times in front of people with no military background and no idea what it is. Every time, their mouths drop open in amazement that it works as well as it does.
That's funny! Actually I was thinking Walther P38. You are into vintage. I was pretty sure you weren't talking about a P38 lightning. I work about 30 days a year in California and my coworkers out there know I am a competitive shooter. Stressful topic for many of them. I actually used the term personal protection in a conversation and got a strange look because the guy thought I meant condom. True story. He was trying to figure out what I used a condom for in competition.
Here is my EDC. The carry starts using a Cross Paq, a bandolier style man-purse; I don't like things in my pants pockets! In the Cross Paq are: A loaded S&W 642 in .38 +P 12 extra rounds of .38 hollow point Pall Mall menthol longs 2 zip ties Daily prayer card W/ pic of Jesus on the reverse, tucked into a pocket on the back so Jesus is watching my back Snus, lighter, house key w/small knife Meds, money clip w/ccw, DL, & CC Carmex and chewing gum Wallet w/debit card and pic of GF Car remote and rewards cards Napkins and nasal decongestant Blue ink pen, lens wipe and lens cloth Coin holder and dental floss Immodium, ear plugs and ear buds Head ache powders and 2 unlubricated condoms. Unlubricated condomsa infinitely useful! Not pictured, but used to take the pictures; Google Pixel 3a XL cell phone.
Thanks, but that 9 isn't what I'd carry. Nice piece, but not for me EDCC. While teaching a group of college kids the Grass Valley Ignite system, one said he had to call his super because of squirrels in their apartment. I said carrots, potatoes and onions will take care of them. He looked at me funny and said, "they eat it and it kills them???" another student, an Ohio boy said, " no silly, they cook up really good with em". One never knows.... Leave it up to them to think of a condom for Personal Protection. Gosh! tp
hehehe I used to have the Wedding Ring on the list but doing what I do with SRs makes wearing one all the time dangerous and I grew used to not wearing it I made the wife happy last summer and had an artistic rendition tattooed on, when I wear mine the tattoo is hidden Happy Wife Happy Life
Lets see.. Keys Wallet Chapstick Cell phone Glasses Watch Tissues Cigarettes Lighter Firearm of the day--depends on my mood. Although I don't usually remember them all, so I have to go back in the house several times before I can finally leave...but only after I run back in one final time to shut off the coffee maker. I guess I need to amend my list. Wallet, phone, cash and condoms for personal protection and competition. If is a work day a briefcase and if social day then my pocket reading glasses instead of my regular glasses.
