I'll never top that pic Jim, but I'm yaking notes :)

I love my Gem Jr. Great shave Terry!
Fine shave Gary! Enjoy your day.

    Awesome setup and pic Clint!

Great description Jim! Bet that smells really nice.

    Very nice Mark!

Hope the temps are warmer there than here Tim. I'm almost think about using Franks hot sauce for an AS splash to warm up today.;)

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements PS Tube 2.0, ASB Star Jelly
Heritage Collections - Ever Ready 3 Step - 2 band badger
Taylor of Old Bond Street - Sandalwood SC, AS
Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Steel - Green Kirinite

Second outing with the PAA ceramic scuttle, this time with 180 degree water in the scuttle, 125 degree in the bowl. I'm sure the temp equalizes a bit, but don't want to put a brush in 180 degree water. Super warm shower and face scrub while the gear preheats. Dump the bowl (left ~teaspoon), gently squeeze the brush, and to the ToBS SC....easily overloaded the HC Ever Ready 3 step being so warm! Bubbly swirling lather, creamy in the bowl, but turns into instant thick warm goodness and when it hits the face. Oh, so nice to face lather and brush around! 3 easy smooth as silk passes enjoying this setup. No weepers or nicks, DFS+ smooth, just missed BBS on the lower right neck/jawline today. Finished off with the usual, PAA's Star Jelly, then a small amount of ToBS AS Lotion. This sandalwood aroma lasts forever on me.....so just a bit, and I'll be catching whiffs well into dinner time.

Just a time estimate....I did watch the clock....start to finish, right at 25 minutes (from scuttle fill, shower, 3 passes, finishing w/AS application). Not too shabby. Could probably cut 5 minutes if I ended at 2 passes, not chasing the BBS.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

Welcome to TABAC Tuesday fellow face and dome scrapers. I’m still recovering from my bout with my problematic Rex Ambassador. Matt Pisarcik is on the case though, and I have every expectation that things will resolve positively. Things on the dome remain a bit tender, but thankfully, my Gibbs Adjustable delivered the goods in its usual comfortable, easy-going fashion. Joseph’s (@Primotenore) Tabac lather recipe delivered a beautiful, thick, yogurty covering that elevated what could have been a cautious, tentative shave to a thorough-going shaving win. PAA’s Preshave Cube combined beautifully with that first lather application to allow my feather-loaded Gibbs to just sweep away my whiskers while enjoying that delightful Tabac scent. It literally felt like there was no blade in the razor. The next pass left me with a comfortable DFS on the dome, despite a very tender surface, and an actual BBS on the face. Fortunately, SWMBO, with her fragrance allergy, is still away until tomorrow, allowing me to use Tabac, which she detests along with my Chatillon Lux AS. I finished feeling clean, smooooth, and refreshed! I hope everyone has a great day.

    RAZOR: Gibbs #17 Adjustable
    BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA’s Preshave Cube
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Tabac Original
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Chatillon Lux AS Splash.
