Love that watch as well, Keith. Interesting how that lather looks when heated- doesn't even look like shave soap (well, maybe Williams...).

Very sneakily you have amassed an incredibly unique and diverse den of razors, Terry. You have a few that I think you are the only person on here who use. Very cool.

Sounds like a great new razor, Jeff. Interesting how far up the handle the knurling is. Is that the right balance point for it? I suspect the long handle probably has something to do with that, I suppose.

I think the only blades I've used in it so far are Nacets and Astras. I find it very efficient with both. I have Polsilvers and Wizamets as well, and might give one of those a go in it. Honestly, Jeff, at this point I really like all of the top end Russian St. Pete's Gillettes and do find that these blades we have just mentioned (as well as PermaSharps, Sputniks and a few others) work well interchangeably.

No argument from me, Jason. I’ve had good experiences with permasharps, Nacets and yellow 7 o’clocks. Have never used Sputniks.

The balance point is right at the top of the knurling which works perfectly for me, because that’s my natural grip point. I think you’re right given the long handle.

Mega super shavette-fu coming your way!

    Thanks Jim
    Thank you, Joseph!
    Excellent Myles!
    Thank you, Tim!
Jeff, I've never stocked feathers before but I will check my suppliers to see if i can get my hand on some.
    Thanks Clint!
    Nice Haul Danny!
    I've said that before!
That's a lot of work for a shave Patrick, but a good one! The only negative thing I could say about Stirling is that it doesn't perform well under heat.

    Very nice, Keith!
Ahh the Purple Haze! Great shave Terry!
Fantastic shave Jeff! Congrats on the beautiful new razor!
Here's hoping that an adult beverage and some taco's are in your near future Clint!
That is one beautiful razor Mark! It must be hard to get the camera to focus on it with such a high polish!
Fantastic shave Joseph! Will you be heading home for the weekend?
I bet if you tried to describe the scent of Tabac you could make it sound appealing...
    Stunningly Beautiful!!
    Cool pic, Gary!
    Fantastic shave and photo, Jason!
I'm looking forward to your comparison of the H&S and Timeless Bronze. Ever since you let me borrow the Timeless I've been on the lookout for one.
    Awesome Fat Friday shave Perry!

Thanks Keith. I ordered the SARB033 yesterday. I appreciate your comments about Seiko watches. It's one of my favorite brands, but I haven't worn one in a while. As you know, I've considered quite a few of them recently. I landed on the SARB because of the combination of its styling and looks, build quality, and overall value. I think this model will end up being one of Seiko's all time classics. I may eventually pick up one of the Seiko divers, and I watched a couple of Grand Seiko documentaries last night...that's usually how it all starts with me.

It has been interesting to watch Seiko over the past few years. Like some other long-time watch manufacturers, they seem to be slowly evolving from a "bang for the buck" value brand into higher-end watches. It's interesting that the SARB033 has been replaced with a very similar model costing 50 to 100% more. Other brands are starting to become the "go to" value brands.

Doing well, Charlie! My first wife and I used to have a house on the beach in Sanibel. I sold it when she passed in 2012. Wife #2 has her heart set on a shore house in the Carolinas. I’m trying to get her to consider Tybee Island or San Simeon. We’ll see! I envy you being in the warm climes, but wife #2 still wants to run her company for a few more years. Hopefully, I’ll still be around when she decides to take up snowbirding. Enjoy your shrimp! My wife’s company party is tonight at a Brazilian steakhouse. She employs a lot of hungry meat-eaters! I always fill up at the salad bar. Enjoy yourself, my friend. Perhaps we can physically meet at the next TSD get-together. Neal is keeping me posted.

Any of those sounds like a good plan. I'm looking for inspiration. I'm going to do a focused focus in March so I don't want to be too strict in February.
    Thank you, Joe!

I think I'm going to do a Focused February, 1 setup for two weeks and then switch and use another setup for two weeks.
