Was years ago but I seem to recall it was rather sticky and residual, but may have slathered too much on. And that was before I found Lucky Tiger lotion, aka perfection in a bottle. Does CHL have any burn to it?
If it works, I say.... Use it and enjoy!! Sounds like I need to pick up some. Been years, Granddad used it, he passed in 98. Thanks! tp
Not sure how prevalent it was in barbershops but this is the stuff I meant, the aftershave and tonic. Got burn? It'll fix it. https://www.getluckytiger.com/products/after-shave-face-tonic-8-oz
It works great for treating razor burn. Girlfriend didn't like the smell though. Clayton Sent from my SM-A705U using Tapatalk
CornHuskers is my go-to and my only preshave. I've basically used it since I started "traditional" wet shaving. Started with Proraso first, then went to CHL and never looked back. been about 10 years now. It gives me a very slick, soothing starting layer under my soap and it has worked with every shave soap and cream I have used. I use Nivea sensitive as my aftershave balm.
