Fantastic shave report, Jeff. I'm sure the noggin will get all healed up by the time the B-day shave rolls around--and it'll give you a chance to put that razor through its paces with some growth under your belt ;)

    Well thanks Jeff!
I don't have enough room up there for, second thoughts....
It's been rumored I can pull things out of my.... well ya know.
My curse or blessing, I'm able to do many things, so I'm told.
This week I finished building a set for news, designed and built the custom rollers for the special paint colors on the set, rebuilt the wireless mics, fixed the power supply for the head sets, designed the interface for eleminating and matching audio levels into our EAS equipment for TV from our house monitoring. Oh then I eng live news one night. Normally 2 nights, short week.
It's all expected where I work, been there just shy of 30 years. Keeps me from getting board, its a fun place.
    Oh how I hate boredom...
Now after grandsons basketball game, gonna eat. Then off to relatives to get the computer, network and internet running. I hope to be home before dark, I hate changing oil in the dark.
    But it happens...

Will do! I've landed a shavette at too steep an angle before and gave myself a DE length line across my jaw. It's a mistake that leaves an impression both physically and mentally ;)

It's amazing what a person can do if no one has told them "it can't be done".

Terrific picture, shave and report, Blair!
You know, I've used Kiritimati several times now and the last time I used it was the first time I noticed the bay leaf in the aftershave bottle.
    Lovely picture, Joseph.
Sorry to hear about the puncture.

An artfully presented shave, Blair--from the soap and splash, all the way down to the brush and razor combo.

The scent sounds amazing, but the only thing that truly matters is the thumbs up double take smell approval from the wifey--I'd top off my shaves with Listerine if it got that reaction from my better half ;)

Try doing a 30 day rule with a shavette and having 0 experience. I looked like I was fighting cats until I got the hang of it . I almost purchased one of those wrestling masks and changed my name to El Scratcho.

Ouch Joseph. No fun at all when this happens. Maybe get a backup styptic to the pencil...not that you plan on doing this again, but more of a 'just in case' scenario. Maybe you know of it, but also for the benefit of others....Proraso makes a small container styptic gel that works wonders. Basically..it's a go to if styptic pencil doesn't work. Kind of like super glue, but not.

I had a neck slice last summer when trying to replicate how a slant works, but with a straight. About 2 inches long...slice (like a really deep bad paper cut). The Proraso Styptic Gel can be applied over the whole 'issue', and will actually slowly stop the flow it's covering (sometimes even makes a small bubble). Where there isn't seepage, it'll shrivel the skin. Once everything dries....you can wipe with a damp cloth. Lastly, to avoid scarring, and after the styptic does it's job, keep the issue covered with a light application of antibiotic ointment (like Neosporin). Not proud to be explaining this...but it worked.

Sorry to hear about the cut, Joseph. However, in this case it doesn't define character--it reveals it. That you can take what is obviously an incredibly annoying incident and turn it into a humorous cautionary tale speaks volumes, sir. ;)

Here's to a quick heal and flawless shave tomorrow :D
