Before applying aftershave. It's not worth it if you're not doing a hot towel treatment, but if you do prep with a hot towel you just hang it up so it stays clean and cools while you shave. Then after your final rinse you hold it over your face again to cool things down. Then apply your aftershave. I got the idea from a straight razor shave video on YouTube.

Thanks, Jeff. I was actually speaking metaphorically. I was born in 1956, so I would have been a bit young to have actually attended Woostock.

    Good morning

Superb shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

Planet Java Hive has a simple scent profile, honey and black coffee. No copy and paste needed on this one. Now I like strongly scented soaps. When I first received this one I was asking myself if I really did like strongly scented soaps. Potent! The honey jumped out to an almost cloying level. Now I don't know if the soap has changed or just my perception of it. The coffee and honey seems much better blended now. The aftershave has always seemed a balanced mix. Not for everyone but something I'll use on occasion but probably will never become a favorite.

    Have a great day!

Incredible photography, as usual! What is it that you do, Jim, that requires mandatory shaving? Do you work in a ‘Clean Room’?

I'm a millwright at a refinery. Sometimes the work involved requires the use of an SCBA or a respirator. Usually due to the levels of benzene or hydrogen sulfide.

That makes sense. A bad seal could mean real trouble.

A guy that used to work on a crew of mine went to Woodstock at 17. He retired last November still wearing that ponytail.

All the fine qualities of a millwright.
    Nice showpieces in the garage.
A stickler for details and order.
    Well cared for quality equipment.
    Your chosen profession just fits.

Oh... And according to the @wristwatchb rumor mill, a secret warehouse of shave goodies deep in a Colorado mountain side.
