Off topic, but I went through all of my soaps and aftershaves and culled almost 50%.
I am going to sell them all as a single lot.

Excellent Monday shave with the original formula Colonia by Acqua di Parma.
I have tried quite a few dupes of this scent and have never been pleased enough to keep them.
I did read that the original formula has been re-released.
If anyone can confirm or deny that, I would appreciate it.

My last Perma Sharp blade and I have to say, these blades are mos def© terrific.
Combined with the '08 SR, this shave could not have been smoother.
A big splash of Thayer's Medicated Witch Hazel preceded a few squirts of the EdC.
    Have a great week.
  5. Great looking shave, and fantastic to hear that unfortunate events often lead to serendipitous moments! Good to see Glastonbury getting a little love--I really enjoyed that scent... Peace! ;)
  6. Thank you, Jim!

Inspired by seeing it in the thread this weekend to pull out the Cool. Went with the Goodwill for one more day. I got a pretty lousy lather this morning. I’ve noticed that my last few lathers with this soap haven’t been very good- a little thin and a little disappearing by the 3rd pass. I used to haze zero problems with this soap, but wonder if maybe time hasn’t been kind to it. I got this right when it came out. What was that- 3 years ago maybe? This is a pretty soft boar, but still...If anything, this soap used to take a ridiculous amount of water to avoid being a stringy mess.
The slickness was great as always and I am quite smooth after 3 passes. The splash? Awesome as always, really one of my favourite scents.
    Have a great day all!
  9. Thank you Jim.

  13. fine shave and pic Joseph..have a fun week..
  14. Another fine shave this morning, with the Bay Rum Boys(Jeeves soap and Stephan A.S.). I was thinking, when the Stephan runs out, I might pair the Jeeves with the Stoylin Unscented A.S. to get more of the Jeeves scent. Anyway-I did the "all hot water" from the sink again. Not hot enough as to boil my face, but more hot than before. The Stephan feels smoother on my face, neck, and forehead this morning, after I shook it some. Two good passes, no cuts. I think I'll just say "Rather Excellent" for this one, as I skimmed over some areas on my neck. I got the most needed areas, but the way I am, too much focus on one area makes me go too little on others. It needs to be "Too Much" for ALL areas(course without getting cuts or nicks).
  15. fantastic shave and pic Jason..good morning..
  16. fine shave Paul..
  17. Thanks Gary...."rather" beats just plain excellent, right? :)
