Classic shave kit, Myles! You never go wrong with Aqua Velva! I started using it in the 60's and continue to this day! Looks like a great shave!

thank you! yes, it is a great one. Might have to pick up a vintage bottle one day, would be surprised if it's a lot better than the current formulation, Because the current one is amazing

There’s a Spanish version that comes in a glass bottle that smells more like the original. Smallflower sells it. That’s the one I prefer!

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - PS - Tube 2.0, ASB - Star Jelly
    Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - SS & AS/C - Atomic
Heritage Collection - Ever Ready 3 step 2 band badger
    J.A. Henckels Friodur INOX 472 6/8

No warm lather today with the Heritage Collections 3 step ER clone....used the scuttle bowl though to make an overflowing, 2 band badger overloaded fun mess. Haven't ever done a lather image either....it's below. Easily enough goodness for an 8 pass shave :shocked003:. No added extras (menthol, glycerin, other soaps/creams, etc.), just PAA's CK-6, water and whipping action. Thick and wondrous, the lather and this smooth shaving Friodur (rescaled by our gssixgun) went for 3 easy passes, one small neck weeper, didn't detract at all from a DFS+ result. Followed with a warm rinse, then PAA's slightly mentholated Star Jelly, and a dose of a favorite AS/C, PAA's Atmotic. This is one AS/C that lasts and lasts....still catching small whiffs, 12 hours after shaving. But....the family says it doesn't 'carry'...meaning this morning (and now) they don't smell it more than a 6-10 inches away. Winner winner!

Today's lather shot....did clean a little of the overflow, just had to....

Hope everyone had a great Monday!

Looks like 300 posts behind :shocked002: ....try to catch up at least with reading later this evening.
