    Good morning

    Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

    I used my brush scuttle for the first time this morning. Hot water from the kettle went into the scuttle and the little bowl I use to soak my brush and dip the tips. Face lathered with the hot water from the little bowl. Rested the brush in the scuttle while I did my first pass. Hot lather for pass two but it had completely transformed into the thin airy lather in the brush. Quickly returned to near normal after applying it to my face, although I did need to add a bit more water. Nice to have the option of hot lather whether I decide to bowl or face lather.

    PAA Sacre Bleu today. An homage to Classic Aqua Velva. I have the modern Aqua Velva Ice Blue. In comparison the homage has a fuller, better rounded scent. I like Aqua Velva and I really like this.

    Well I am a bachelor most of the week with Swati in Chicago. I could play hooky from work if I didn't have so much to get done this week. Oh well...At least I can get in a good shave before work. The SV Felce Aromatica is one of my favorite soaps. It just flat works and the scent is simply intoxicating. Three passes and touch ups ended in another automatic BBS shave. A splash of the matching aftershave and I am off to work. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

    I really need to work my Supply razors into the rotation. I think I've only use the polished one once if I remember correctly.

    January 28 SOTD:

    Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: PAA The Solar Flare
    Lather: PAA Lather Blaster 3000
    Aftershave: PAA Lather Blaster 3000

    Lather Blaster 3000 this morning. This scent has a nice powdery nose at the start but it quickly develops into a slightly boozy bourbon and tobacco scent. Behind the scenes is a bit of vanilla nose, but a strawberry scent kicks in and becomes more dominant. This is a very nice scent. The shave itself was a nice two pass DFS. I hope everyone has a great day!

    I would recommend Sacre Bleu without hesitation to anyone that enjoys Aqua Velva.

    PAA Controversy landed yesterday. I just took a few sniffs of the puck. What a terrific scent. I'll be using it this weekend.

    Post: Witch hazel, Soap Commander Fortitude aftershave

    Tobacco Tuesday with Fortitude. Terrific scent and performance were enhanced with smooth action from the G1. Altogether easy and nice shave.
