Got HP to agree with me that the motherboard is probably dead. They're sending call tags and I is getting warranty repair. Awesome.

I'm sure it's already been covered, but unfortunately they have to. First step in troubleshooting is assume nothing. Don't assume the user has already checked the obvious - power cords plugged in, outlet working, etc.
I really hate calling in and going through the process....oh well

How's My Day?

Crazy. I have a team of roofers putting on a new roof. Sounds like a warzone/tornado simultaneously.

 

funny, seems I read about the new roof somewhere else recently, and with a similar description....

 

Okay, I'll follow suit:

How's my day?
Slept very uneasily last night. Went to a friends house for a few minutes after church. My son started complaining of not feeling well. The friend was also complaining about not feeling very well. About 1 minute from home, son proves he wasn't kidding about his stomach hurting.
In the brand new car...

find out this morning the friend got sick last night too.
Daughter was complaing last night of not feeling well also.
The past few days my wife has been complaining of mild, persistent headache.
Two nights ago I felt rather nauseous, but it passed.
However, these things always get me feeling yuck.
All I have to do is hear about someone having a stomach virus, and I immediately start feeling bad.
I'm not that way with anything else, but I blame it on a traumatic experience with our first experience with said stomach virus. The two days from hell, I tell you. That time was bad enough that my dad caught it and missed a day of work! He's missed only one other day of work for illness, so that should tell you how bad it was.
So, back to how's my day.....based on the history, I'm sitting at work, not trying to push too hard, waiting for the other shoe to drop, even though it likely won't, but I'll expect it to for another week or 4.

 

Damn, you guys need some good karma or something. Slept kinda crappy last night but woke up feeling really good. Had two big glasses of sweet tea, got some excellent music playing, and will be shaving with either the new to me wonderful Injector or an on-loan Lather Catcher. I purchased a Semogue 2000 to compliment my wonderful 1305, and I still have two injectors and something really special inbound. If I didn't live in a crappy apartment, i'd take off the headphones and blast the music till the windows shook. It's gonna be a good day.

I'm sending all my good karma to all of you. Let's see if it works.

Hey Jim... Sorry your family is all getting sick. Sending good thoughts that way to go with that karma that is being sent. How is that Acer One doing? Wife was talking about getting a laptop for when she goes back to school in the fall and I think that would be a size she would like.

Update time:
Wife and kids are fine this morning, son ate breakfast very well, so apparently no serious bug. helps put my mind at ease.

Just talked to Micah...he's having internet/TSD withdrawals, BUT....
I don't want to steal his thunder for when he does return in a few days, but I'll just say he found something very, very, nice...and still has more antique shops to go
