  1. I'm not even gonna tag the Queen on this, but you are THE ONLY unbranded forum vet that can get away with saying stuff like that.

  2. Good morning everyone!
Wednesday morning, woolly Wednesday for a change. The thing about the Fat is adding enough water, especially in the dry atmosphere of winter. The 60 or 70 percent humidity of summer works geat, now the 10 to 30 percent humidity of winter is different. You can get fooled by the look and feel of Fat in winter, Thinking you've got it right, only to have it dry out mid shave, especially on the head. This morning was no exception, I got it right today.
Loading my 1912 Damakeene SE with a new Pesonna GEM blade, ready to get the job done.
The feel of this razor is slightly different than other's of this type, easier, smoother. Just lay the head flat against the skin, then a gentle pull, raising the razor to the proper angle, running smoothly along.
20200129_060620.jpg I'm clean, smooth, and ready for the day. No issues, quite nice!

    Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: PAA Harvest Moon
    Aftershave: PAA Harvest Moon

Looking though my PAA soap/AS combinations I have left, there are some pretty good favorites of mine to come, and this is one of them. It opens with a great hay smell, especially the soap off the puck. After this, a little tobacco starts to enter, quickly followed by a nice oud scent. The oud builds to be the dominant scent, which is great by me. A little smokey note comes forward and works nicely with the tobacco and oud. Lurking in there is berry note that adds just a bit of balance to everything. I could wear this scent all year, but honestly when I first smell it, it does make me think of harvest time back on my grandparents ranch. I don't know if that is just the name or not, but it reminds me of the fresh cut hay from the fields across from their house. A terrific scent. I hope everyone has a great day!
  6. Very nice Myles. Congrats.

    Razor: PAA Ascension Twist
    Blade: Gillette 7o'clock SharpEdge (3)
    Brush: Grizzly Bay WarForge
    Pre-shave: PAA The Cube
    Soap: PAA Sangre de Drago
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA unscented Star Jelly
    AS: PAA Sangre de Drago

    Good morning

Terrific shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

Sangre de Drago up for today. I'm nose blind to this one. I've never been able to pick up much of a scent with this one. What I do get is a clean soap smell. Not bad but not what I'm looking for in a scent.

    From PAA:

Sangre De Drago is a dark, mysterious world, magic in a bottle, ancient, primal and alive. Sangre De Drago is a potent, mystical, alchemical blend of Dragons Blood*, Sandalwood, Indonesian Oud (Agarwood), Benzoin, Tonka, Linaloe Wood, Spruce Hemlock, Amyris, Labdanum, Sage, Neroli and Tobacco Absolute. Take a leap of faith into the dark depths of Sangre De Drago and submit to the reverie of the unknown.

    Have a great day!

  14. Gorgeous razor Evan. The Senator is one of the coolest vintage Gillette razors.
  15. You're a tough act to follow.
Great shave, pic and report, Jim!
  16. I would be doing the same. We just had a Chicago deli open up nearby. They claim to have the authentic Italian Beef and dogs. I will try it but I am not hopeful it will be nearly as good.
  17. Very nice Joe. Congrats
  18. Great looking shave Terry. Happy Wednesday
  19. Great looking shave and picture Jim. Wow. That was a spectacular scent description.
  20. Beautiful photo Jim. That is strange since dragons blood usually has such a strong smell.
