I remember someone posting a link to that story before, it is still funny. But, what stands out the most to me is that there were only 56 pages in that month. Nowadays, we hit 56 pages the first day.

I was a little off. I missed a few months several years back. Been a lot of folks come and go over the years.

Yeah that is one of the more shocking stats when you start going back. When you go back to February that year we had.....are you ready.........19 pages. In the whole month.

I noticed that as well. In the beginning I had a sense we are trying to feel each other out and it didn't have as much joking around. Overtime, the 30DC became a place to help people learn the proper technique but as we grew to know each other it became a place to hang out too.

I'm the same way with many of the regulars around here. Seems like we've just always been around. However, to add to the anniversary feel as we get to the end of the month, here is a list of everyone who posted in January 2015.

Exactly. That first month or two we were all serious business. Just reading the lead up to the 1st kind of cracks me up. People were doing test lathers and brush comparisons with soaps and all this scientific stuff to get ready. Deadly serious stuff. And yes, as we went along a joke was told here or there or some other fun was had and we soon found our place on the internet. One of the side effects of becoming so busy all the time, in my humble opinion, is the loss of some of the shenanigans. It's tough to keep up with the latest stunt shave or bloody mess shave when it moves so fast. But, we make up for that with a huge variety of topics and just the opportunity to hang out with people we like to be around. It's all worth it.

I agree. The nice thing over the years has been the ease with which new members join the group and are welcomed into the group. Shortly the new members seem like they have always been here.

We got back home Monday at about 6:00 P.M. I have been real busy. About a week behind at work. Top picture is Tuesday's shave and the set up I took to Pennsylvania. Love the ATT Calypso. Bottom picture is this morning's shave. The Pearl open comb still impresses me. Take care guys and I'll jump in when I can. 20200128_062503.jpg 20200129_061930.jpg

    Semogue Super Badger Brush
Stirling Christmas Eve SS and AS
    Nivea ASB
The Semogue brush really loaded this sweet smelling soap and the lather was typical Stirling performance. On 32 hr whiskers, I could have done a 1 passer, but did 1.5 passes beyond the intial pass for a bloodless and irritation-free BBS. I have to say this shavette gives a great shave and it is easy to use. It feels like you are not shaving the whiskers because there isn't any feedback. It's like shaving with a straight razor near wedge that also doesn't provide the audio feedback. Ended this shave with liberally applying the aftershave and then the Nivea. This Christmas Eve scent is truly awesome! I know it is a seasonal scent, but it smells so good that I will use it any time of the year. Have a great night, guys! 20200129_163944.jpg 20200129_163944.jpg
