Hey, is there anything near the Cadillac theater? at least that is where I think we are going on Tuesday.

well that is downtown so there is lots of stuff. I avoid downtown though so I could not tell you.

 

Ahhh I hadn't looked it up on a map yet. I think the closer we get the more I am dreading taking the daughter to Mary Poppins. oh well.. its just one night and if goes well, we will have pleasant memories.

 

supposed to be a fantastic show.

 

So I hear. I am just worried about a 3 hour show with intermission when it starts at 7:30 at night with way my daughter is. Honestly I would have tried to get an earlier show, but it is for my wife and daughter. I only have a ticket because I am the driver.

 

The theater is loads of fun. Has your daughter ever been? She might just love it so much that it's no sweat...

And honestly, this is the first time I've ever heard of a designated driver for a theater date!

 

I would love to see that show. I am a Disney kind of guy.

 

She has been to a few small plays and a small ballet. But a full scale musical will be new to her.

I don't mind going. Its just a joke between my wife and I. She hates driving into/through Chicago. It was either I go to drive or nobody goes (train wasn't an option for this trip).

 

I don't blame her. Chicago traffic is intense.

 

Intense? That it certainly can be. The big thing that gets me about going into Chicago is the time calculations. If it weren't for traffic, I would leave at 6:30. However, with traffic, maybe I should leave at 6 or 5:30. Oops... that puts us in rush hour traffic, better leave at 3:30. OK, so we beat the rush, find a parking spot, fill out a mortgage loan to park the car, and then kill 3 hours of time.

 

Now you've got to admit, this is a pretty funny sentence when taken out of context, eh? :happy097

 

scary thing was... even out of context, I immediately knew the correct context. I spent too much time on here today!

 

Yep, it's a telling bit of truth - most of us would make the association to the real meaning before the comic meaning.

As an aside, no grilled meatloaf tonight. We settled on stuffed burgers instead. My burger is stuffed with pepper jack cheese, jalapeno slices and onion, topped with provolone. Kids went with sharp cheddar and bacon in their burgers. :eatdrink020

Sorry, they are all gone. Somehow my oldest managed to eat 2 of them.
