Two things stick out in my mind about the evolution of this group. I have never lost sight of that original goal. Let's teach shaving. Let's make technique the king and then let's shave like kings. All the while welcoming all newbies into the fold the way we started. Keeping that goal and the focus there while allowing for all of the other "side chatter" has, at times, been a challenge, but it seems that as the 30DC has continued to grow, each new "generation" just instinctively drops into the role of "teacher" and keeps that original goal the strongest part. It always warms this cold wannabe Russian's heart when I see someone who joined in the past year jump in and welcome a newbie, answer their question and then encourage their success. The "old timers" like myself used to have to do most of that heavy lifting, but the "training cadre" just seems to keep growing. Of course, that also means the enabling grows as well. And the shenanigans. And.....the feeling that we're all just one big club of some of the smartest and coolest people on earth. Where else can you see people butcher themselves trying something new and end with......"chicks dig scars and, even though I had to have an emergency transfusion, I'd still give that shave a thumbs up and call it BBS." Yeah. We rock. :happy108:

Thanks, Blair, he’s a good boy! His best friend and running buddy next store is a JR. Lightning is also a good boy, but can’t stand still. Whenever I bring Gromit over, Lightning gets so excited he loses bladder control. Knowing this, Victor, my neighbor brings him over and we have the get-together in my backyard. They’re great friends, having known each other since puppyhood, and are total hell on squirrels.

Sorry to hear, Jeff, about the fall. It's better to waste a day in the ER than to need it for real. I didn't think you Barbarians had miscommunications with the Bride.

Yeah, I'm gonna get some mileage out of the Barbarian theme. :)

We live in ‘typical suburbia’.....30 year old neighborhood now. Tons of squirrels and rabbits all around. Found a squirrel tail in our back yard when Milo and Misty were 3ish.....Misty not the culprit, she’s got a small sight handicap. Funny thing is, we don’t have any trees in our back yard.....the squirrels run along the top of the wood fence (back then only 6 feet tall), and Milo is maybe an inch or two taller than Gromit.

If you ever buy an old razor that hasn't been sanitized before you get it try Scrubbing Bubbles . I use it for general cleaning of all my razors now . Gets rid of any buildup and leaves them shiny.
