you know, I think the thread on drying brushes is funnier than the discussion we had about Bong's pen a while back.

Yup, the brush was pretty bad... but now that you brought up the pens.. we just need some creative multi-quoting to merge them together. But alas, I need to shave and then have some more family time.

yep. a good chunk of the family's here. my dad brought:

1. steak for all.
2. a case of PBR.
3. authentic German beer steins. (they're cleaning out their house. they lived in Germany for a few years in the 70s)
4. Ice cream cake for my wife.

I think we'll let them stay.

 

It must be an "enjoy-the-day" holiday today. 8 hrs. between posts?!? Unheard of. Happy 4th HYD'ers! We're headed out to a picnic and then some fireworks. Hope you're all enjoying your time off as much as I am.

sitting here watching the Daytona race, two of my fantasy drivers involved in the last wreck :mad:, two of my drivers in the top 5 :happy108, and 1 somewhere in the middle :think002

Transformers 2 was quite good, I thought. If you liked the first one, this one has much more action...if you didn't like the first, then you probably won't like this one...if you were dumb enough to watch either movie expect Academy Award performances - there's no hope for you. All the people bashing the movie for plot holes, bad acting, yadda yadda - what did you really expect? It's a movie about alien robots! Duh!

Fireworks were rained out here... so we all sat in the dark and watched New York and then The Boston ones. Dom, I must say, I am very disappointed in the music selection during the Boston fireworks.

If it helps, all three of my teens still want to know why all the time. Why can't I stay out later? Why can't I spend the night? Why can't I have these shoes.... :mad:
