Very nice, Evan. If you can provide the model number and a photo of the case back showing serial numbers, etc., I'll look into it for you.
@MrEE This is one of my favorite websites: http://www.watchwallpapers.com/ The gent there gave me permission to use one of his photos for my forum avatar. His beater watch is a Rolex. Every so often he gives it spa treatment. It just goes to show that these old watches are pretty tough and can last forever with regular maintenance. I think he needs to see you for a bezel replate on this one, though. http://www.watchwallpapers.com/beaterren.htm And it never hurts to clean them occasionally. http://www.watchwallpapers.com/djlaundry.htm

Off to Valhalla! Oh, I'm stealing that phrase the next time I bottom out or bin something. Great shave, Patrick!
Thanks, Gary! Don't mean to dishearten you, but that thing is one of the easiest, smoothest shavers I own--there would have to be some seriously bad juju going on for that to happen.
January 2020 January 31 Razor - RazoRock Wunderbar Blade - (2) Soap - Soap Commander Courage Brush - @Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum Last day of January. Hard to believe it went by so fast. But, it's been another magnificent month here at the 30DC and I had a lot of fun both shaving and reading about it! Thanks for a RECORD BREAKER people!! I'll get the final results tomorrow morning after we're locked down and on into February. Another shave with the Wunderbar and it was Wunderful. See what I did there? The Voskhod is completely smooth in this razor and it only took two passes to bring the baby on board. Some will tell you that slant razors are a gimmick. I won't argue that because yes, you can create the same effect with a Gillette Slide technique. Slants just do it for you and this one does it very well. I also have the RazoRock TTO and I was disappointed with it. This one, however, I really do like. Probably my new favorite modern DE razors, to be honest. Also the final shave in January with the Soap Commander as I near its demise. I left the top off for today's pic so you can see the progress. Still making fine lather and gallons of it. I'll probably switch to using it every other day in February to finish it off then decide what I'll eliminate next. On the opposite days from those shaves I'll use one of my favorites. Hope you had a great end to your work week! Saturday starts in just a couple of hours so go out and make it a fantastic weekend!!
I don't remember my dad owning anything but a Bulova . Thats what the local jeweler sold and the only place he would buy from. He said nobody around here will look at a Timex and with 6 kids he couldn't afford an expensive watch. I've picked up a few Timex for work mostly as they were cheap and tough. By the time they crapped out I had gotten my moneys worth. Now I have my Dads 2 Bulovas ..his watch from the plant that quit and sat idle for years , the other needs a battery and should be serviced since he was fanatical about keeping it in good order. As I am now the steward of these heirlooms, I will do such . I loved reading your post about your dad and your watches. Stirred up great memories of my dad .
