  9. Fritz:
I was looking for a lighter "skin food" for the summer and found this:

"As an ASB, I often use a mix that is
    2 ounces Corn Huskers,
    2 ounces Aloe Vera gel,
    and 1 ounce Witch Hazel.

This cuts the Corn Husker scent down quite a bit.
I sometimes add a few drops of Essential Oil (spearmint, lime, and patchouli are all good, just not all at once)!
This is the kind of thing that I use if the shave went really well, and I just want to re-moisturize from the soap.
Now, for rougher days, the Proraso ASB and the Nivea Sensitive are called on!"

Shame on you for not sharing here :p
I'm trying some of this today.
  10. RNB Summer Salve:

    2 parts Corn Huskers Lotion
    2 parts Witch Hazel
    1 part Aloe Gel
    ...cuppa drops Melaleuca Oil

    This is awesome.
Not greasy or sticky at all.
Light weight and blends right in.
The Melaleuca oil is pretty strong stuff and the few drops I added
COMPLETELY covered up any "smell" from the CHL.
I swear I'm gonna bottle some of this and market it.
Thanks to Fritz and the gents at SMF for all the different recipes I saw.
.....SEE. I give credit where credit is due. :p
  11. I'll have to give this a whirl. I have a bottle of the stuff but, I can't stand the smell. I use salves instead for my hands after gardening or working the horses. Badger, Burt's Bees or Ogallala Bay Rum.
  12. Rich:

I gotta say I was hesitant at first to try again but...
I really love what the CHL does for my hands and the ONLY reason
I quit using it as an ASB was the smell.
If the Tea Tree oil isnt easily available to you
OLBAS oil should work great as well.
Man, this stuff really rocks.
  13. I have tea tree oil, emu oil and Olbas Oil. Would that work? :D What about Vitamin E?
  14. Menthol

    Here's a mix:

    Valobra Menthol Shave Soap (lather)
    Aqua Velva Classic (post)
    Anherb Conditioner (post #2)

:cool::cool: cooler than dry ice :drool
  15. Rich,
    use the TeaTree oil only.
See how you like it :D
  16. :drool :drool ::
  17. Speaking of Erasmic, here's another:

Erasmic Shave Cream + Brut Aftershave Splash and/or Cologne

    The scents blend masterfully :happy088
  18. Anything* with an essential old blend of geranium, tea tree, lemon, lavender, peppermint, and clove bud. Together they fight bacterial growth, help the skin repair itself, and is just a good overal skin treatment.

*Includes facial cleansers, floral water, hydrosols, lotions, creams, aftershaves, and toners.
  19. You mean + Aqua Velva?
