    Way to go, Myles! It’s tough when you have to reexperience why DEs are superior to Carts. Great save to what could have been a thoroughly unpleasant shave.

    I've read/researched about the RA since March 2019, as well as the Gibbs (love your fine examples!). RAD kicked in, but prices were not what I wanted to spend. Then I got interested in open edge options, and RAD changed for those. Black Friday sales piqued my interest in the RA again, plus all the gorgeous images of other 30DCr's using them. I missed 2019 BF pricing, so started waiting & watching BSTs and it finally paid off. I beat BF pricing (by a good bit) with this BST purchase, and my example of the RA is working nicely is far.

    As to the various results that RA shavers get, don't know what to say other than I've seen both types of threads, positive and negative. Negative threads/posts seem to garner more attention, sometimes it's deserved like what was found, and Rex Supply has been correcting. If you do a search over at B&B with just 'ambassador' being in the title, for the DE sub-forum only, there are plenty of threads to search through, a good handful with 90+ responses. They even have a current pass around going on the RA, and it's 44 pages long.

    All I know and can speculate is that I don't believe I have acquired a complete muscle memory for DE or SE razors...every safety razor shave is a still an adventure with pressure and angle....so maybe that helps me in conjunction with my ~5:1 ratio of open edge shaving to safety razor shaving. Since I change razors most every day.....pressure/angle and even blade ability changes nearly every shave, so maybe there's some unconscious adjustments happening for self preservation.

    I stick with the same blade for three shaves, and then it's out. My youthful brain never fails, so this system is absolutely fool proof. Have a wonderful Tuesday. ;)
