Caught up. Sorry I keep popping in, dropping one line posts and then leaving. I try to squeeze a few posts in during the day but then get busy before I have a chance to say anything else.

Dropped the bike of this morning to a shop nearby. Told the guy it was my primary mode of transportation. He called me around 5:00 PM to tell me that it was ready for pick up.

Rode that sucker home from the bike shop. I'm a little stiffer and sorer now: my left side (which was the side I fell on) is a bit sore (which it wasn't yesterday), but I don't think I have any serious injuries. I'm glad for that. Now maybe the rain will stay away.

I just saw part of Ice Age 2 the other night with the girlfriend. While there were a couple additional annoying creatures, there were a number of funny moments. You should watch it, Bill.

Can I have the other half? :D

I get what you're saying, Jim.

Hey, Jim. I was wondering where Jen was, too. And yes, I do think of her whenever I see that smiley.

Best of luck to the son, Tom.

Take your time with the email, Tom. We both know it took me about two weeks to respond to your last one.

Glad you enjoyed the Noxema that much. If you can't find it or a suitable replacement anywhere, let me know. Definitely let me know how you like the Salter's (did I send you mint or sandalwood? I'm guessing sandalwood as I'm almost out of the mint). Salter's (the mint, specifically) is one of my favorite creams.

Tell her she can send the cookies to me. Also... who's Eric?

Dom, I'm doing good, thanks for asking. Good to hear you got the bike back so quick. Hope the aches and pains don't hang around too long for you.

I was actually very surprised to get it back so quickly. I was truly dreading being bikeless for a few days.

My regular bike shop is closed for renovations for the next month and all the other good bike places I know about were quoting at least two or three days before they could get back my bike. This morning, I remembered there was this bike shop about 8 blocks away from my apartment. Never heard anything good or bad about them, so looked up some reviews, called them up, and they said they'd have it back to me ASAP.

I think those aches and pains will be gone pretty soon. Some aches and pains are the small price you pay for scars. Chicks dig scars. Yeah.

I'm going to go bump you up in picture tag.

Fallen off anything lately, Bill? :D

Nope not lately. Course I haven't been on a motorcycle in years. Damn bad back!

Back been good to you lately?

What did you use to ride?

Also, that picture of the doors you posted in the Picture Tag thread looks very familiar, but I can't place it. Enlighten me?

Back hasn't been too bad, nothing worth complaining about really.

Last count was around 13 motorcycles that I had owned over the years. Mainly sportbikes, the last bike I had was a Kawasaki ZX-11. Having kids really put a stop to it more than anything else. Now that they are older and can watch themselves the back is in no shape for me to ride.

That was Rodin's Gates of Hell.

Glad to hear it about the back. Sorry it's not in shape for you to ride. I haven't ridden motorbikes (only a handful of times) much, but definitely see their draw.

Ah. Rodin's Gates of Hell. I knew there was a reason I immediately thought "Dante's Inferno" when I saw that.

My eyes are closing on me here. Sorry to cut out on you so soon, Bill, but I think I'm going to call it a night.

Not to weird you out, but I couldn't help but think of you the other day when I purchased this.

    Have a good night Dom.

    Not weird at all.

I think of you when I put on the Osage Rub. :D

Goodnight, Bill. Have a good evening and a good day tomorrow.

    Goodnight, moon.

    Good morning everyone!

Dom, the Eric I was referring too is Omegapd. However, now that I search for him in this thread, it looks like he is a very rate poster here. Glad to hear you find someplace with good turn around on your bike.

amazing, google earth runs great on this netbook

    paint me amazed

now to plot out my routes for the trip to Dallas/Ft Worth....man, this small-town boy hates driving in that place, they look at me like I'm a freak - I use turn signals!

    Morning all

What kind of netbook did you get? I have been using my netbook at home for everything lately. I absolutely love it. I am running a Asus 1000 HE. Glad yours is taking care of business!

acer aspire one, pretty much the same rig on woot.com today, actually.
all the specs are the same anyway, model number may be slightly different due to where I got mine (acer school program)

I am definitely loving this thing, much better for sitting in bed at night browsing the web than my 17" laptop..which is awesome, by the way, but it's just overkill if I'm not doing anything intensive, or don't need optical drive.

I'm going to try to map out all the routes we're going to need for our trip, and use it like a poor-man's duck-taped GPS :D

    Good morning, Justin.

    Thanks for the clarification.

See... I used my netbook for everything. I'm tempted to pick one of these Acers up, but I know I'll get a few more months out of the one I have and that the prices will be even lower by then. Technology, eh?

exactly, one of the recent XKCDs touches on that point exactly, and conveys my exact feelings about technology! STOP WATCHING ME!!!! :happy102

What kind of bike you ride?

    This is my rig:

I mounted a couple of "buckets of doom" on there, painted to match... it's pretty sweet. I just haven't gotten to ride it with the heat like it is...

    Oh, and Micah:
    thank you for the voicemail...
    and email..
    and PM....
    and IM....
and the billboard out by The Country Store...

yes, I did pack my razor!
    and blades
    and cream
    and brush
    and aqua velva
    :D

    Don't forget the:
    sandpaper
    chopsticks
    weedeater
    live chicken
    jar of mayonaise
    olive oil
    roll of gauze
    pipe cleaners
    and golf tees!

Jim's shaving ritual is a very complicated and elaborate affair, folks. He should charge admission. I've told him as much. Alas, he just pulls people at random from the streets into his bathroom and "proselytizes" while he fires up the weedeater.
