Wonderful shave, Dale, in memory of your Dad. You are fortunate to have some of his gear. I don't have my Dad's gear, but several pieces remind me of him every time I use them. It always makes the shave better.

I would be on the fence about re-knotting your Dad's brush. I can certainly see why you'd want to keep using it, though. At the very least, I'd attempt to save the old knot in one piece.
