SOTD, Feb 1st-2020

Razor : Gillette Fat Boy E4- setting7 - Mfg 1959 4th qtr (birth year razor) I enjoy this razor more than my Gillette slim.
Blade: Personna red (2)
Soap: Tabac
Brush: Yaqi timberwolf 24mm- great brush with hard soaps IMO.
Pre shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3
Post shave: Proraso green with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =

It is fun to shave with. I will be getting the Alumi-TAR next week to try out. Then they will both go back to Tom for tweaking before continuing on the tour.

GEMonday, Feb3-2020, Just a quick 2 pass shave with a great razor, my true GEM Damaskeene Open comb 1912. Its not aggressive but just mild Mid range with great efficiency to make it a winner in my rotation of razors.

Razor: GEM Damaskeene open comb-MFG 1912-15 one of the most successful razors ever designed after 1900's. They sold millions of different variants up to 1940's.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE-(2) another great blade.
Soap: TOBS Sandal wood. Great masculine scent.
Brush: Razorock Plissoft- great synthetic brush.
Pre shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2.
Post shave: Proraso red Sandal wood + witch Hazel + Nivea balm for men.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + minor irritation + no weepers=

Hello Jim, looking at your photo of Tom's proto type it looks like the middle teeth have a different gab than to the edge ones. It could be just the photo effect?

Blade: Gem SS PTFE Modified (4) Excellent blade
Soap : Razorock Lavender
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow brown whiskers 26 mm- very nice brush to use IMO
Pre-shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch Hazel + Nivea balm for men.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + very minor irritation + no weepers =

You are correct in your observation. It is that way just on one side. Gives it a kind of Mountain Man type look.
