    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

One more shave with the Fatboy and Sharp Star blade. It's an even numbered day so it's Soap Commander on the death watch. I chose the Wolf Whiskers custom brush. The knot in it is the same as the one in the 30DC Meet Up brush I used yesterday, just a smaller knot. Plenty of lather off of the ring of death and still plenty ring of death too. This will take a bit. The shave itself was smooth and effective with three passes wiping everything down to BBS. Alum was quiet so all's well that ends well! Have a great Hump Day tomorrow!

Beautiful shave, Neal! You really are starting to create a vortex in that Soap Commander. Gorgeous brush, btw. :D

Round 2 of the redemption test for Noble Otter. This is soap is finicky and I had a hard time getting the consistency I wanted. When the consistency is right the slickness is good. This one fails it's redemption test as I want a soap that is easy to use, to bad as I really like the scent.

One the plus side the Mastro Livi is sporting a very nice edge, so the final results was a nice shave.

Repeat after me Tim, "Dumb enough to start. Desperate enough to finish." I've tried the, walk away and come back, thing. It works but only after you have loaded your brian with information to mull over in a relaxed ponderous cycle. Skipping the effortful loading of info into your brain and just taking a break is just wasting time. The prep work is important too.

Don't try to skip the desperate. It's necessary.

Yes @myles wilson! Listen to Gary. I use a toothbrush, hot water, and hand soap usually. Polishing will take that gold off in seconds.

Yes, its glass. It's the Spanish AV Jeff @jgreenepa mentioned a few days ago. I actually ordered it from a European website weeks ago. It never came so I ordered from smallflower. Love it.

I'm sure the order from Spain will show up tomorrow.

Another beautiful shave, Keith! Sorry to hear the NO wasn't quite up to snuff. The scales on the Mastro Livi are gorgeous, btw :)

Oh, I hear you loud and clear, sir. I am wanting to learn to bail when I reach the point that I am unable to synthesize incoming data without giving myself time to digest what's there. Admittedly, in the case of today's shave I was forced to quit before figuring the shave out--I ran out of face ;)

Out of curiosity, have you tried the Stateside modern AV? If so, how does it line up to the Spanish stuff?

Sounds like the typical Pseudo-spring we've been getting in California's Central Valley for the last decade or so. February rolls around, and we get a warm snap that lasts long enough for the orchards to start blossoming--then cold weather, rain (if we're getting any rain that year), and hail pound the living crud out of everything. Nature's got a cutting sense of humor sometimes ;)

    Razor: Gillette NEW LC
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless (2)
    Brush: SOC boar
    Pre-shave: PAA The Cube
    Soap: Proraso Green
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA unscented Star Jelly
    AS: Proraso Green Lozione

    Good morning

Terrific but frustrating shave this morning. Another case of disappearing lather. Proraso doesn't like that level of heat. Reloading the brush for each pass left me near BBS with a tickle from the alum.

    Have a great day![IMG]
