Congrats Myles. You have a beautiful razor there, and it will last your lifetime and then some. I'm really glad to hear about your success at school and in your small business. Keep up the great work!

I picked up a bronze Karve with both the standard-C and OC-C base plates today, a JR brush similar to JR #310, and some SV/Stirling software today. This will be a gift for my Bride's oncologist back home. He's been more than a blessing to us over the past 20 years (yes, 2 decades), and I aim to knock his socks (and maybe a few whiskers) off with this setup. He's Brazilian...the brush handle is made of Brazilian Rosewood. He loves traveling to Italy...SV is made there (gives him a reason to go back for more) and gets the nod from many folks here. And, well, the Karve is widely reported to be Alabama awesome!

A big thanks to an unnamed 30 DC brother who helped me narrow down the final selections. Hint: he fights the traffic every morning and evening, he's known to purchase a thing or two on the weekends, and he loves, loves, loves to attend bead shows. This unnamed member has informed me that I'll get a Karve of my own once I lay eyes on the one I ordered. We'll see. ;)

What happens when you have 8 hours between shaving and checking in? Yup, shavette fu style:
Love the pic, really love the LC, Jim. Just an awesome shaver.
What lovely colours, Perry! The influence of jluc is complete...
Congrats on the soap, Clint. Congrats on the blood-free shave as well. The razor will only be a matter of time.
Safe travels, Joseph. Love that Milk Churn as well.
Sounds like a great shave, Patrick. We have daughters the same age. Mine turns 12 in June.
Lovely pic and combo, Blair. I haven't tried that Aventus dupe, but really like Fine Platinum and enjoy Stirling Executive Man. Given the quality of PAA scents, I bet that one is fantastic too.
Left handed shave? You, sir, have arrived.
Great, simple shave, Gary. Good afternoon to you sir...
    That Bowl! Just amazing, Mark.
Dead is Dead lives! Thought you'd enjoy that paradox...
You'll get back to acing that 1912 in no time I'm sure, Tim. A great write up again, regardless.

Thank you, Jason! Your beautiful brush set the stage. I think @jluc has pushed all of us to make our photos better.

    Thank you, Gentlemen.
Perry/Tim: I'd put the L'Orange Noir a step ahead of the Arkadia, fwiw. There is just an extra depth to the orange/smokiness. No idea which is closer to the original, nor have I tried any other Terre d'Hermes dupes. Both are good products regardless.

    Agree 100%.
He's not the only one, either. There are a bunch of regulars now who show off calender shots every day.

    Thank you, Jason!
You guys are making me blush.
When I first joined up and saw the quality of pictures and reports I figured I had to up my game one way or the other. My reports are still lame but my pictures have improved. To be honest though I feel like my pictures are getting tired.
