good morning gents,thursday shave.loaded the brit red rocket with a platinum, slick tfs crazy sandalwood lather built by the yaqi twilight badger brush.known to be slightly more efficient than its u.s cousin,ie more blade gap,i took my time and was rewarded with a 2+pass bbs .no drama,no pressure..fine santal absolut aftershave to cap it off.have a fine day everyone..

 

Thanks, Clint! The randomizer will pick tomorrow's shave but the brush will be my choice.

30 degrees out this morning and wanted to retest a shave cream with the scuttle. Warm shower prep (B&BW face scrub), boiling water in the scuttle. Brush ready in warm tap water...then loaded with lots of T&H shave cream....instant mid size bubbles, slight volume made. Move the Zenith boar over to the face, and a nice thick, rich fragrant lather is transformed & distributed. Rex Ambassador set on 6, second use of the Gillette SB, and north to south pass completed without issue. Looking back to the scuttle, the lather has evaporated a good bit....a few drops of water, some brush swirling and voila, more goodness. Second pass with the RA still set at 6, did an XTG pass, ears to center. Small 'gotcha' notice on the neck, exactly where the Feather bit me on Tuesday. Tiny drop of blood appeared, didn't weep, stopped on it's own. Minor distraction. Couple more drops of water in the scuttle for the 3rd lather....set the RA at 2, go for BBS on the upper lip, chin and lower right neck. Done and done. Hot towel wipe off, PAA's Star Jelly all over. It's got a slight menthol addition, just enough to let you know it's there. Finished off with AoS's Sandalwood & Cypress, another wifey approved fragrance. Quite woodsy, my nose gets an even amount of Sandalwood & Cypress, but with a little cedar, olibanum and pepper. Big fan of the AoS colognes...they last and last, will catch whiffs all day.
