Looks like I'm the only one posting in here again today...

Check out this discussion on Reddit.

I think I may have hit on another one of my million-dollar ideas.

    Afternoon, all.

Well, I went to the Dr. for a physical today... the first one I've had in a long time.
The once over came out alright, but after they ran some of my blood work, apparently I've been diagnosed with Fat American Syndrome.
My HDL is low, my blood sugar is a little high, and the only real cure is to get more activity into my daily routine and watch what I eat.
The most annoying implication of all this is that I'll likely have to taper off my beer consumption (not that I was ever a heavy drinker) at least until the blood sugar situation gets sorted out.
I guess it's a small price to pay to not end up insulin-dependent.
    :o

I know this doesn't garner any sympathy from those of you with more serious health concerns, but I figured I'd share.
    ;)

Aloha all! Good day to everyone. Mailman showed up with the perfect razor for me! I would like to now announce (and hope to maintain) an end to my RAD!!

    Greg,

Kick it now, before you end up like me - 50 with type II, super high LDL and way too many pounds. Have never really been a beer drinker. I was very athletic in my 20's and 30's, then let myself go for 10 years while doing sedentary work. At least I've kicked the cigarettes and am working on the rest of it.

Really, it's easier to just be healthy than it is to get healthy.

    Good luck with that.. :D

Woo Hoo! Way to go! :bounce:bounce:bounce

Evening shave fans. Sorry for the long absence but I have been busy. Work has been nothing but crazy and I have had to pull multiple duties. I am not complaining because we are sellin more parts and fielding phone calls constantly.

So what is going on in here?

Shep, Congrats on the Denver position. Next year when I am down there for a Recyclers conference I might have to look you up. You like sushi.

Dom, the cat is now lazy and too overfed. Apparently Jackie was too much for it. I have donated it to a local petting zoo.

Bong, how is the Bostonian treating you?

I am still DE shaving and have found something better than Feathers. Yes, you read that correct. Super Iridiums from Paul at Connaught. Just as sharp and much smoother. The AD's have calmed and besides the A/S balm I bought last week, I actually ran out, I haven't made a purchase forever.

I still won't/can't get on as often as I like but I am getting closer. I have a couple positions to fill due to need, some training, and then I will throw them to the wolves and get back to the important task of posting.

    Tracy!!!

It's good to see you! You know, it IS better to be too busy with work than not busy enough. I'm glad though that you're still finding new stuff to keep your interest in shaving peaked. I like the Super Iridium blades too, and they're much less expensive than Feathers (also used to be my favorites). Have you tried 7 o'clock yellows from Paul? He's got a great price on them.

As for what's up, here's what Justin posted yesterday. It's a great synopsis of the last couple of weeks. Other than that, you have a large reading assignment ahead of you. :D

Glad you're alive and well, old friend!

I read Justin's summary and I think it sums up what I missed.

I have tried the 7 o'clock yellows but they tugged too much for me.

Hey Tracy, how is momma coming along? Everything ok I hope?

Wished you could have dragged Fuzzy back in here with you.

Mama is doing good. She has had a bad case of allergies this year and that has been bad, but for the most part she is doing great. We get to find out the sex early next month so we are excited about that. Little Batman has decided that if it is a girl he likes the name flower and if it is a boy we should name him Rock.

Good to hear she and the little one are fine, hope the allergies subside. Which one are you hoping for, a boy or a girl?

The wife and I would love a girl but a healthy baby is the most important.

    TRACEY!!!
Dang good to see you boy!!!
I thought about you the other day when I went to a salvage yard to replace the heat/ac controller in my malibu (not the only time I've missed you, but the most recent)
    glad you're still kickin'
I've recently tried the super iridiums, I guess maybe I had a lemon with that first one, halfway through the 2nd shave I changed it out....maybe I'll try another soon
