Incredible shave report (and razor), Jeff. Glad it's working out so well. Now you know where to turn the next time SWMBO hassles you for cooking ;)

Clint, that's beautiful! You're right, snow is a rare thing for us. Good thing it happened on a Saturday because you know it would've wreaked havoc on a weekday.

    February 8th
    Razor: Timeless Aluminum
    Blade: Sharp Star (3)
    Brush: Simpson CH2 Synthetic
    Pre-shave: PAA The Cube
    Soap: NO Monarch
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA unscented Star Jelly
    AS: NO Monarch

    Good morning

Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Warmer than usual alum on my neck. I normally don't do ear to adams apple on my neck but I did this morning. No redness or razor burn but the alum told me I was in the verge.

I skipped the randomizer this morning. The Simpson is such a pretty brush it deserves a bit of color coordinating. I went with Noble Otter Monarch. I know @Keithmax isn't the biggest fan of NO performance but in my environment and my water it's top tier. Lovely slick lather. Oh, and it held up to the heat from the kettle. Not quite as well as A&E but perfectly acceptable.

I can see why @clint64 calls the Simpson synthetics Soap Destroyers. This thing is a digger!

    Have a great weekend! [IMG]

No, but I took 1/4" off the top of my finger. I'm immunosuppressed, so they're worried about the healing and whether I'll need a graft.

I'll keep that in mind when my Rex returns. I shave with my Gibbs at 5 or 6 with no issues other than blade feel. Matt Pisarcik said there was no equivalency and that i should start about where you.re shaving . Enjoy your Saturday.

I am glad the snow is on the weekend instead of a Monday morning. It is warming up and will return to rain after 1pm so this should be the best kind of snow. Looks good and then gone. ;)

That might be right but I also have to wonder where this idea that one should never be offended came from. I am offended by someone or at someone on a regular basis and life goes on. People today are just too damn thin skinned.

Gorgeous photo and shave Jim. Now you know why I can use up so many soaps. Between you and @Boojum1 Mark, I ordered a Simpson Trafalgar T3 Synthetic. I just had to give it a try for $39 delivered.

After a couple of bloodless shaves at the lower levels, I dialed it up to 5 today. Shave report to follow.
