Well, I wasn't going to collect brushes. I really wasn't. I told myself razors where enough. Well, I guess I'm over that.

I'm not collecting watches... I'm not. I'm now drawing the line at watches.

 

We would have made so much money that Mr. Fancypants @BaylorGator would be asking us for a loan to keep making ice cream!

The sun came out in Cartel land today and Jennifer rode with me for my daily tour of all the finest neighborhoods in need of food in the Lou. We finished up with dinner at Bandana's...a local BBQ joint that isn't top tier but hey, they are cheap and it's definitely edible. They have a variety of sauces available. I did make them take the KC Style sauce off the table. I don't want any second rate stuff contaminating the place I eat!

Home and time to shave and I moved to the Muhle R41 tonight. Given it's February Favorites, and I do love aggressive razors, I thought it deserved some attention. Loaded up the Sharp Star and used the Meet Up brush with the very cool Bolton Flayed Man on it to get closer to the end of the Soap Commander. I'm closer, but still have a ways to go. Fine lather and I did three full passes. The Muhle feels even more aggressive to me than the Wunderbar slant. There's a lot of blade out there on it but it performed flawlessly. Held the angle on the cap and made it through with a BBS and only slightly warm alum. Fine shave to end a fine day.

Good plan, Evan. I admire your rock-solid, steadfast resolve. The sheer joy of owning a World-Class Seiko professional dive watch, with its in-house movement, killer lume, 120-click rotating bezel, and butter-soft strap mean nothing to you. You're much too strong for that. Hang tough!

 

Are you kidding, Patrick? @MrEE is completely happy using his cell phone for the time. He's getting older, and he can increase the font size to 36 pt. It takes a young, confident guy that's willing to make a statement to own and appreciate a fine mechanical timepiece. Guys like you and me, for example. I'm gonna lay off Evan with the watch thing. He's probably tired of winning, anyway. We should stop talking about him. He'll be back from the mini-van forum soon.

For some reason I like the look of pepsi bezel. It takes more than three for it to be a collection. Riding the line.

I didn't really like the ssb021. Too blingy.

Seiko has (or will soon) stop production of the SKX-007/009 models. You picked up what could eventually become a cult watch among Seiko dive watch enthusiasts. There are a bunch of them floating around now, but they'll become more scarce and desirable over time. You have a super cool watch there, IMO. Well done!

 

Kid stuff. I routinely break protocol and start with the Triple Dare.

I think you'll be happy with the SKX. You can pick up all sorts of straps and bracelets for it to make it uniquely yours.
