Wonderful R41 shave, Neal. From what I hear, you've got to know your stuff or the Muhle kicks. Love that brush :D

I admit I just ordered the SKX because I found it NIB on ebay for cheap and I had some budget leftover after the SSG021 (which I am returning). I looked long and hard at the SRP watches, but the extra cash put me over budget. I am trading the SSG021 for a SSG015... which does put me at 3 watches. Which if we follow Tim's @timabababaluka example is acceptable. We can own stuff and not be collecting said stuff.

So I'm still not collecting watches...as long as my smart watch doesn't count. If my smart watch counts, we have a problem.

The Muhle is definitely a handful, but as always......Technique Trumps Tools. It is one razor, though, that I will never fail to respect. Like the Micromatic Open Comb it's one that will not let you get away with a mistake.

In high school if I wanted money I had to work. I would work for a couple months then I would quit and have fun for a month until all my money was gone. Then my parents would give me gas money and told me to find a job. During my freshman year my mother and I had a disagreement about my major, so I told her I would pay for my school and it would be my choice. From there or I paid for all my schooling and room and board. I worked all kinds of jobs and one thing I learned is that I better study if I don’t want to be a waiter the rest of my life.

amazing what difference water can make to lather.

Just a drop too much can send the lather into an airy bubbly disaster. I usually wet brush , gently squeeze excess water off the start there, adding water as needed .

For Sunday's shave I fired up the tea kettle, pulled out the super soft Omega silver tip in the elk handle and this fancy Spanish razor (Filarmonica 13) Since this is a February favorites shave I used Queen Charlotte's Soaps cream, my best ever in the hot scuttle software. Sadly the company is no more and this is my last tub.... maybe 5 - 10 shaves left. Everything was wonderful and the shave epic.

Beautiful set up. The scales on that razor are amazing. Usually I congratulate folks for bottoming out a soap, but in this case it makes me kind of sad.

Hope you had a great weekend, Keith :)
