    Good morning gents!
    Shavette shave #136
    Dovo shavette
    Personna Hairshaper (2)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS
    Nivea ASB
My Rocky gave me a nice lather with this smoky/sweet lavender soap. I like it because it smells great off the puck and on the face. However, the scent doesn't have staying power and that's fine with me. The soap is slick, but it isn't as voluminous as Stirling. On a 36 hr growth, 2 passes gave me a nice IBSS ++, but reopened a weep. Again, no irritation was to be found. Finished with the matching AS and the Nivea. Have a great Sunday, guys! 20200209_102113.jpg 20200209_102113.jpg

Thank you, Patrick! This soap is based on Azzaro Chrome cologne. Basenotes says the scents are:

    1. Top Notes
    2. Heart Notes
    3. Base notes
It has a fougere type scent to me. The Modern Fougere aftershaves matches quite well.

Shaved last evening after a busy day of fun family stuff. Rotated back to fave combo #1 for a two pass shave. The MonoBilt does two pass shaves better than anything in my den. Chores around the house today after a day of play yesterday. I’ll get some lathe time in this afternoon as well.
    Have a great day all!

I think it shaves more like a micromatic than the streamline. It is more aggressive than either, but a great shaver with a light touch and good lather. It is definitely a favorite of mine.

    Great pics and report, Tim.
I once loaded an AC blade backwards. It actually sounds and feels like shaving but with zero beard reduction. I now make it a point to wear my readers when loading a blade.

Thanks, Patrick. Last week I poured my first all resin handle blanks. I’ve done a lot of wood and resin mixes, but have been reluctant to move completely away from wooden handles. I got a request from a good friend on here, though, and thought I’d give it a go. Had enough resin for two blanks.
Started late Wednesday and Thursday nights and got one done. Looks good, and I’ll post it on the brushmakers thread when the knot comes in. The other? Huge air bubble. Today I’m going to try and salvage it into a shorter design.

Is that a new soap, Joe? I don’t believe I recall it being referenced on here before.

:happy068:. Ok, I thought I had done it all, but mistakingly putting two GEM blades in? Wow, Tim. Amazing you did as well as you did with it.
