I transplanted this Rapira blade into my Super Speed from another razor and I suspect that it’s wearing down so I won’t be using it again. The Vanilla X 3 soap is something for the book - the more I worked it up the thicker the lather became, I smelled the lovely vanilla scent, and the menthol sensation felt like midwinter freeze in Siberia. Another great thing about this soap is that the blade glide and skincare are fantastic so my man Jaco did one hell of a great job. A nice massage with the Prep and a couple of splashes of the Osage Rub felt so soothing and frigid. Three passes were necessary to get BBS but I enjoyed myself immensely!

Soap: Santa Maria del Fiore "Firenze"- great soap to use if you like light tobacco, vanilla..... Eucalyptus & Menthol.

I Bought Santa Maria del Fiore (8.5 oz)on their moving sale $16+ Canadian and some other soaps for Christmas stuffers. I find it one of the best of all my Razorock soaps for scent and lather properties strengths.

The menthol sensation from this Kameelperd soap is exactly the same as what you’d get from any of the Stirling Glacials - in other words, it’s off the charts. I don’t know how Jaco was able to formulate this soap so that the scent is so nice and the lather is so terrific, but he did it like a champ. The Prep and the Arctique were both a perfect finish to such a great shave. I was enjoying the frigid, rich, thick, slick lather so much that I opted for a third pass and I ended up super BBS!

It's very subtler or not as strong as Proraso green is best to get your question in perspective comparing to menthol freeze but RR SMDF is a better scented soap and performer in lather properties IMO.

 

Oh my goodness is this setup ever frigid!
