Actually, Jason, not so much. I know the 77 and the 51 and that’s really it. Both of them are great shavers, so I expect the same might be true of their other razors.

The prices, even from the French sites (god bless a Google translate) seem to show the high regard they are kept in!

Great shave kit, Perry! The Pushbutton and the 1924 are the two Gem razors I don’t have. How does it shave compared to a 1912, a Featherweight or a MMOC or MMCP?

If you’re interested, I could put you in touch with a French razor dealer I know. His prices and stock are better than what you would find on French EBay.

lovely work sir, designing loo's for the well heeled..though it must disappoint with the invention of the bidet's "bullseye every time" technology.. download (1).jpg up here in iglooland we still have the basics..the ice hole cover.. download (3).jpg ..:D..

So got my Aristocrat yesterday. Picked up a bottle of Barbicide, so I'm going to let the razor soak in there for a bit.

Thanks! No this one was plated by Razor Emporium. I ordered it after a string of plating failers that briefly convinced me to quit plating all together.

Interesting shave, Tim! I use stacked blades in my Shake Sharps, but only because two stacked SS blades are roughly equivalent to a single old carbon steel blade in thickness. That’s what that razor was designed for. Not so much a Gem 1912! I can imagine it was rough give the stiffness and thickness of a single Gem blade. Did the handle close all the way? I just tried it in my 1912 and was unable to completely close the cover! You’re very lucky not to have badly cut yourself, says the idiot who lopped off the tip of his left pinky! Well tomorrow’s another day, and time for a better shave! Enjoy your shaves!

    Thanks, Jason!
I'm using the Noble Otter mainly because it has been neglected. I'm reminded what a terrific soap this is. Next up will be Wholly Kaw, another neglected product in my den.

I really like Wholly Kaw’s King of Oud! That’s one scent that my nursery school schnozz can appreciate, and the lathers I get are thick and rich!

The brush does take time to get used to. I think it gets easier to splay with more use.

Very nice shave and pic Gary! Haven't seen any brick ones in Canada but I've heard the term " Built like a brick s*%!house" used lots before.
