February 2020 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix & Discussion

I have the Aluminum Lupo and it's a smooth shaver. It'll be interesting to compare the two. Pretty sure I'll get the same shave from each but a chance to test my technique in compensating for the weight difference. I'll be happy to send them to you for a test drive.

The Shave
The shave went very well—all passes. Thanks to Chris @Bama Samurai via Patrick @9nein9 , I found myself singing “Pressure Drop.” This was pretty important, actually, because I tend to forget to lighten my hand with light shavers. Three light passes, and most of the irritation I’m feeling now is irritation I was already feeling from yesterday’s shave.

The Score
Comfort: Again, hard to tell, because I came into this shave still irritated. I’m not feeling any worse, though. Score: 4
Closeness: BBS/DFS. Score: 4

Some Thoughts
Oddly, my Aqua Velva Ice Blue is starting to actually feel icy now that I’ve stopped adding additional menthol to my routine--it never felt cool to me before. Does that mean I’m ditching the Frost Drops? Heck no. Just interesting, that’s all.
