Caught myself not thinking about my shave. Wednesday is my weekly meeting with my leadership team, so that's often what I'm thinking about when I wake up. Well, even though I was distracted and not really thinking about my shave I ended up with an excellent 3 pass shave. DFS with a very small weeper on my chin. I did try to ride the cap on my ATG pass, but the rest of the shave was pretty mindless. I'm happy with the feel. I can shave with the redtip without much thought, which is pretty cool.

I have volunteered with my church's boys youth group. I have a 12 year old boy in that group so it makes sense that I help out. They go camping every month. Wondering how that's going to affect SR Saturday. I'm going to give it a try. I've shaved with my straight razor when camping before. :) Just need to make sure the boys don't try to copy.

I have a spare GC top cap or two if youwould like to go with the baseplate only route.
Ah yes! It was the IM!
I'm convinced that razors like the DE89 and Merkur 34c were designed with negative blade exposure to compensate for heavy handed newbies. I cannot get a super close shave with my 34c without using a bit of pressure.
Beautiful shot and great shave Evan!

You are going to produce a gaggle of wet-shavers when they grow up, then. What 12 year old can watch someone shave with a straight and not think, "That! I want to be that guy when I am old enough to shave!" I wonder what it was that got myles @myles wilson into the wet-shaving game so early?

Great shave, btw! Sounds like it's coming pretty darned close to fire-and-forget with the Red Tip :D

That would explain a few things, to be certain--the more I think about it, the more inclined I am to agree with you.

Still cruising along with my focus gear and getting very good shaves. I've heard some people compare Kai blades to Feathers and I can't say that I agree. To me the Kai isn't nearly as sharp and really doesn't smooth out for me until the third shave.I am getting good irritation free DFS+ shaves so it is a decent blade for me, just not top tier. The Stirling Royal set performs great like all other Stirling products but the scent isn't wowing me, I might have to find a new home for it after this week. Have a great afternoon my friends!

    Hump day!

I am sure you will manage your time to be able to get a straight shave in on the weekend. Really, a little scruff on the face is very cool for a camping look. Shave at the end of the camping session.

Awesome gear, Andrew--love that brush handle. But even awesome-er young man ;)

Btw, we have that exact same wooden train set (in the background) at our house.
