Definitely one of the better Old Type designs, a solid enjoyable shave. Fully tightened so maybe could squeeze out a bit more efficiency with a little loosening up. A few dome pickups with the Leaf.

Blade : Personna red (6)
Soap : Gillette Pure cream
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24 mm "Sagrada Familia" named after famous Barcelona Cathedral in Spain.
Pre shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap +a dollop of clear aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post Shave: Alum + cold water rinse.
Post Shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch Hazel + Nivea Men balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum indicated no irritation + no weepers =

It's a bit warmer today than usual for this time of year. I opted to go with the sunny/refreshing Fico di Amalfi as my scent for today.

***EDIT - Since I've gotten pretty good with this razor I decided to experiment with the adjustable settings on the Ascension with a 1/8th inch turn to make it slightly more aggressive. 1-pass + targeted clean up against the grain. I got a tad of irritation. Looks like tightening it all the way for the least aggressive is still the best option as I get bullet-proof 2-pass+light clean up shaves with nearly zero problems. Still, all in all the shave was solid & BBS. The only downside was the small bit of irritation. I just applied some face balm and the irritation will subside at some point in the late afternoon/early-evening. The upside is I smell fantastic.

This Pipe has given some great shaves in the past. Today it was off - just couldn’t get as close as I’d like. Good shave but closer to a DFS than a BBS.
