  1. Thanks, Charlie! It certainly shaves better than it did.

Alabama awesome, Perry! Hopefully your meeting goes well and quickly.

  3. Thanks, Clint! I’m planning on sticking with it until I master it! I’m not getting the closeness I like at 3, but I’ll stick there for the next shave or two until I get a better feel for the razor. I think most of my issue with the razor, other than the faulty cap which didn’t seat the blade properly, is the balance. It’s a heavy razor, but most of the weight seems in the handle and not the head, very different from those razors that I enjoy shaving with.

    Good morning

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Just the faintest tickle from the alum.

    Have a great day!

  8. Great pic, staging and kit, Jim, as usual! That brush looks killer! Is the backbone as good as it looks?

  13. Great shave with a top flight kit, Tom! The Red Wing is one of my favorites! It’s a highly efficient razor. I love the shave it delivers!

  14. Opening Day of my All-Clubman week went well. The shave cream still oozes out like a snake(course it FEELS better than a snake when it's administered to my skin). I found that I wasn't as successful on my neck as I usually am, mainly going south-north. The angling went fine. Following the aftershave, I added some talc powder on the back of my nexk, just below my ears, and on my feet. I'll see if I can do better on the center of my neck tomorrow. Comment-Partially Excellent.

  15. Nothing like a Krona shave, Danny! I shaved with one for over half a century! It’s a highly under rated razor! Enjoy your day!

  16. Sounds like you're letting the angle get too steep. Maintain a shallow angle and where you move the baseplate to won't matter at all.
    Thanks, Jeff!
    Great backbone. Highly recommended.

  17. Today is a non-shave day. It has been 2 days since my last shave! I usually don't go beyond 2 days, but I am off this week. I will shave tomorrow and will be using my largest straight razor. It will be my Wolstenholm 15/16 near wedge. I have only used it a few times since I got it maybe 4 or 5 months ago. It is a good shaver, but I want to use it on a heavier growth to really see how she really shaves. Conventional wisdom is that wedges or near wedges are used for coarse beards or stubble beyond 2 to 3 days growth. Besides, it has been awhile since I have used a straight and will continue to do so for the rest of the week.

  19. Very nice, Paul! I notice that you don't include your razor, etc. in your posts. I would find your posts more fascinating if you include your shaving tool in your posts.
