I used more of a dessert bowl Jim , which I never use for dessert since I like my dessert in larger bowls. As for the cereal , I use a mixing bowl which will hold 1/2 the box of cereal. I know I'd get ribbed for BOWL lathering sooner or later . I prefer the Rockwell or my OC Joe. Never lets me down.
It was nice Jim. This will be Maya's last summer home for awhile. She will be living year round in Lexington starting next fall semester.
Thanks Clint. I blame Keith @Keithmax as I read a few of his hot lather tests , found it interesting and had to see what the fuss was about. I've gotten better at bowl lathering since then though,being strictly a face latherer for 2 years.
I have only tried bowl lathering a few times over the past 5 years. Over the last 2 weeks, I have tried bowl lathering on the days I use creams.
I have better success with the creams . Tried bowl lathering when I first started wet shaving but switched to face lathering as I found I made the lather faster . Maybe was just inexperienced.
I really enjoy feeling the shave brush against my face as I lather. Each brush feels a little different. So I don't see myself switching to bowl lathering full time but its nice for a change of pace. My motorcycle buddy, Wade, has a brush scuttle that keeps his lather and brush warm between passes.
